I have not been myself these last few weeks, tbh it’s just how I have felt numerous times these last few years, but particularly worse of late. Realising how lonely, depressing and upsetting this world can be. Luckily im strong enough to pick myself up, even though this last time, I wasn’t sure if I could. Please don’t let the world consume you. Social media has a lot to answer for. Put ur phone in a draw a few hours a day, read a book, watch a movie without checking your phone every 5 mins. Create a bucket list, tick things off it ( i have 2 this year 💛🖤🚴‍♀️🐎🐴 ) Spend time with ur loved ones. Get fit, get active, find a hobby….get YOU back. ( if I can do this so can you ) Please remember there is NO SUCH THING AS NORMAL, we are all individual, we were not manufactured, we were not all made to be,or look the same. Embrace your life, your health and your body. Help others that need it, be it human or animal. Be kind to living creatures, but most of all be kind to yourself. MENTALHEALTHDAY2021

100000% start planning your week ahead right now. Get a note pad, and put in you time. Wether that be reading, working out, or just lying on ur bed in peace- thinking. Self care is essential- think of it as human recharge . Much love 💙🙏🏼😇

Thankyou to Simone Biles for being a mental health advocate and reminding us that we are all human and it’s perfectly okay to prioritise our wellbeing.

Simone withdrew herself from Thursdays all around finals to prioritise her well-being. A reminder it’s okay to prioritise our well-being over our work, responsibilities and even the Olympics!!

Our mental health is just as important as our physical health 🧡

2 years ago today our world changed forever when we lost our wonderful son; brother, uncle and friend Sean.

Since then Sean has helped hundreds of men through Sean's Place to access support for their mental health as an organisation in his memory was built that would fill the gap in men's mental health support in our community.

Like many families who lose a loved one this way there is anger that Sean was allowed to get so mentally unwell, hurt that that this could and should have been prevented, Frustration that there wasn't an awareness about services and support available and sadness that today more families will lose their loved ones and they will feel exactly as we did 2 years ago unless things change.

We ask everyone to do one thing today.. educate yourself about the services in your community... Hub of Hope are a brilliant resource that has many services all in one directory. www.hubofhope.co.uk

In Liverpool/Merseyside we have fabulous mental health support from places such as James’ Place UK , The Open Door Charity The Lee Cooper Foundation Venus Centre, Martin Gallier Project Evolving Mindset and of course Sean's Place. There are many more but finding support can be challenging if you don't know where to look. Please check out these groups and share them with your loved ones and colleagues.

Sleep tight Sean. We all miss you so much 💔
