If you feel faint or woozy during a scan – you’re not being “difficult”. It’s usually just your blood flow. Lying flat on your back in later pregnancy can squash a major vein, making you lightheaded.

💡 Tip: let the sonographer know and *change position* – tilt to your side, prop a pillow, or adjust your legs. Comfort + safety first.

Think of it like revising for an exam – you wouldn’t leave it to the night before (well… not if you wanted a good grade). Birth prep works the same.

Just before your baby is born, there’s often a natural pause — midwives call it the “rest and be thankful” phase.

It’s your body’s built-in breather. Oxytocin levels are high, adrenaline dips, and you (and baby!) get a quiet moment to gather strength before the final push.

It’s not stalling — it’s smart biology. So if things slow right down at the end, that’s your body saying, “Hang on, let’s do this gently.” 💚

Your baby is an active teammate in birth — not something you have to “get out,” but someone working *with* you. The more relaxed and confident you feel, the easier it is for your body and baby to find their rhythm together.
