🎭I have rewrote this caption 100 times trying to find a balance between transparency and over sharing (a skill I am yet to master)…
🎭I started messy manor whilst I was on maternity leave and fell in love with the community it made. Everyone was scared of germs because of covid- we weren’t playing along. Let your kid stand in the spaghetti another has just been chewing! Paint your bellybutton with chalk- the pass it over to the 7 others wanting to copy! No rules, no hand sanitizer inbetween. We learn through making mess, and are reminded looking at sticky smiles to normalise childhood play!
🎭When I went back to work I believed I could sustain using my only free day to run the playgroup and I have been able to keep this up for 7 further months BUT ignoring warning signs that my energy reserves were depleting have meant I am now officially running on fumes.
🎭I know how irritating it is to have your week planned to find sessions cancelled- if you’re anything like I was I relied heavily on a consistent routine to know what my day would include-whilst transitioning with little ones through 🌘NIGHTFEEDS, 🧷NAPPIES and the 📣NEED for entertainment. There is so much going on behind the scenes for me and I have to take accountability for my own well-being, by pausing my commitments.
I hope it’s not forever, but please see this post of notice served on weekly classes at lark lane- only mobile set ups for special occasions will be available for the foreseeable future. LOVE YOU ALL, Jordan 💛🎨🫧🧋
