🌟 Monthly Success Story – Supporting Staff with Catheter Care 🌟

This month, our Senior Care Worker, Priscilla, shared her experience supporting carers during routine field observations. Some staff were less familiar with the purpose of catheterisation, correct hygiene practices, and infection prevention.

Through step-by-step guidance, live demonstrations, and real-time feedback, Priscilla helped the team focus on:
✅ Maintaining dignity and patient comfort
✅ Proper hand hygiene and PPE use
✅ Monitoring for signs of infection
✅ Applying best practice in a real care setting

By the end of the session, staff were more confident, able to explain the purpose of catheter care, demonstrate correct techniques, and understand the importance of infection control.

In January, one of our Senior Carers took time to support a colleague following missed medication. By working alongside them, they carefully reviewed each medication together, reinforcing the importance of cross-checking MAR charts with medication labels and recognising when it’s okay to pause and ask for support.

By the end of the shift, the carer shared that they felt supported, reassured, and more confident in managing medication safely for our clients.
