Primary Care 24 Primary Care 24 is a not-for-profit, clinically-led primary care provider.

Clinics are taking place in Sefton today and tomorrow to help parents and carers make sure their children’s vaccinations are up to date.

Sefton’s School Aged Immunisation Team are running the clinics, which will take place on:
•Wednesday 1st April at Formby Clinic, Phillips Lane, L37 4AY
•Thursday 2nd April at Maghull Health Clinic, Westway, L31 0DJ

They are for any children who have missed any routine immunisations such as MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella & chickenpox varicella), MMR - measles, mumps, rubella and HPV. Teenage boosters and meningitis vaccinations are also available.

Anyone attending needs an appointment, which can be made by calling 01512476130 between 9am and 5pm.

Also the Living Well Bus is at Lidl in Seaforth today offering vaccination, health checks and mental wellbeing support between 10.30am and 4pm.

Are you up to date with your vaccinations?

After recent meningitis cases in Kent, the risk of infection to the wider population remains low. However, it is important to know the signs and symptoms, which can develop suddenly and include:

- a rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass
- sudden onset of high fever
- severe and worsening headache
- stiff neck
- vomiting and diarrhoea
- joint and muscle pain
- dislike of bright lights
- very cold hands and feet
- seizures
- confusion/delirium
- extreme sleepiness/difficulty waking

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that our North Park GP Practice, in partnership with Light for Life Southport, has won the 'Patient Safety Collaboration' category at the HSJ Partnership Awards 🎉

This national recognition reflects an exceptional piece of work led by Hannah Rahmani, our Head of Nursing for Primary Care, which focuses on transforming access to healthcare for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities across Sefton.

We would also like to congratulate our Urgent Care Team, who were shortlisted as finalists in the category 'Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Redesign'.
