STORE CLOSED - 30TH DEC - 17TH JAN

Hiya folks, I hope you've enjoyed the winter festivities!

Just a little update to let you know the store will be closed for the next few weeks as I'll be away visiting family!

You will still be able to place orders, however they won't be dispatched until AFTER the 17th of January!

Apologies for the late notice, unfortunately there has been a Covid outbreak in my and certain things have taken priority over others. Am sure you'll understand :)

Hiya folks!

I hope everyone is well during these uncertain times!

Store Closing Temporarily

At this moment in time I am struggling massively to get orders out in a timely manner. I am very much behind on orders and although I can understand the frustration of being unable to place an order, I owe it to the customers who have placed orders to try and get them out as quickly as I can.

Post Brexit Postage Increase

With the UK's exit from the EU comes a large increase in postage costs. Another reason for closing the store is to entirely reassess with who I am dispatching orders with and how much I am charging for that service. Expect an increase in postal prices when the store reopens.

Plinth Price Increase

With the store closed I am also going to re-evaluate the price I am charging for some of my larger plinths. In trurth, this change has been a long time coming, however with Brexit comes an inevitable increase in living and working costs. It is only sensible that the price of products in my store reflects those cost increase.

Right folks, update time!

The store will close tonight for a minimum of 3 weeks. Potentially up to 5 weeks.

I am currently behind on orders it's not fair to current and future customers to keep accepting orders when I am struggling to get orders out the door in a timely fashion.

*The Waffle*

For anyone who doesn't know, I've been in a new job since the end of January and it's become incredibly difficult to find time to cast orders.

Currently in my job, I'll know what I am working 1-3 days in advance, my work cycle changes every week, so I work a week of earlies, a week of middles and a week of lates. That work pattern can easily see me start my day from 3am to 6pm in that period.

Also, because of covid, it's very difficult to arrange time off or move my days off around. I could also work just 3 days in a row before having a day off, or 10 days in a row.

Because of work it is very difficult to plan and arrange consistent casting time. Maintaining a rhythm, efficiency and consistency feels impossible at the moment. Add to that my mental health ain't ideal.

So current plan is to close the store, expend as much energy as I can to get rid of my backlog and build up a stock of plinths which I can dip into once the store reopens.

Apologies for any who is currently frustrated/upset/unhappy with their currently delayed order and apologies to anyone in the future who will be frustrated/upset/unhappy when they cannot place an order!

I'll be emailing folks with outstanding orders in the next few days with eta's on their orders!

Hiya folks, I hope everyone is well in these crazy times!

Update from Darkmessiah Bases. We are still OPEN!

Orders are still being accepted, processed and posted. Granted this is at a slower rate then I'd like, however, I am still chugging along!

Currently I am still working my day job as an essential worker. it is unclear whether I'll continue in the coming months, half the staff in my place of work have already been furloughed and that might still happen to me. At the moment I am just playing it by ear!

From a health and safety point of view my casting studio is a relatively safe space, it's close by, I have my own entrance, my own door and I can work in there without seeing another soul for weeks at a time. I am satisfied that I can keep myself and my family from potential viral transmission.

Visits to the post office will be happening once a week which may add additional delays to orders.
