JAMES DIXON COURT ACHIEVES A 'GOOD' CQC RATING
We are beyond proud to tell you, James Dixon Court our 30 bed residential and intermediate care home in Netherton secured a well-deserved 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission just before Christmas!
Residents and families told CQC how kind and caring the staff team are, who make it an enjoyable place to live!

Neil Willis, Registered Manager came into his office this morning to find it completely decorated in wrapping paper, courtesy of two naughty elves - it is now a Grotto!

OUR SUPPORTED LIVING TENANTS HAVE BEEN OUT AND ABOUT CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS!
Tenants celebrated Christmas together at the Nags Head last Monday 15th they enjoyed a Christmas lunch and entertainment which was a Motown Singer.
Everyone had a Christmas ball of a time!!!🎅☃🎄❄

CHRISTMAS AT WATERLOO PARK
Waterloo Park where very kindly invited to the Ireneous Church Christmas singalong with a Frank Sinatra tribute act, we loved it and had a ball, and we all received a knitted gift from their very generous knit and natter group.
We also held our annual Yule log competition which was a brilliant sticky gooey festive treat, our winners were Rene and Joanne, but all logs were amazing.

WOODLANDS CHRISTMAS GIFT TO THE WHITECHAPEL CENTRE
The team and tenants at Woodlands chose The Whitechapel Centre, homeless charity in Liverpool to donate to this Christmas.
Lots of items were donated such as new clothes, bedding, toiletries and gift sets.
Woodlands would like to express thanks to colleagues at James Dixon Court who also very kindly contributed.
Well done to everyone involved - you will make such a difference to Christmas for so many people.

CHRISTMAS PARTY SEASON IS WELL UNDERWAY AT NEW DIRECTIONS
A great night out with everyone from Shared Lives for our annual Shared Lives Christmas 🎄 party at Hightown Cricket club.
Jeanie and her Dolly dealers entertained us with Play Your Cards Right.
Congratulations 🎊 to Kevin and Daniel who both won the cash 💸 💰 prizes and had lots of help and encouragement from the audience!
Prizes galore with our free raffle.
Everyone enjoyed the dancing and meeting up with friends.

SOUTH HUB HOSTED A SPECACULAR CHRISTMAS FAIR, INVITING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO COME AND CELEBRATE.
THERE WAS A FABULOUS GROTTO WITH FATHER CHRISTMAS AND GIFTS FOR CHILDREN, DELICIOUS FOOD, GAMES AND SO MUCH MORE.
THANKS TO THE TEAM AND EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS SOUTH HUB FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK AND CARE FOR THE COMMUNITY, IN PUTTING ON THIS WONDERFUL EVENT. IT GETS BIGGER AND BETTER EVERY YEAR!!!🎄🎅🎄❄

At the end of November, Shared Lives celebrated National Safeguarding Week by putting on two workshops to discuss Consent and Boundaries.

We invited South Hub Ambassadors group and drama group to join in our workshops.

These sessions are a springboard and starting point for more workshops in the next few months to start conversations about keeping safe and enabling and empowering our supported people within our services.
