We are proud to announce Surgical Scousers International Undergraduate and Foundational Surgical Conference 2022!
Our conference is aimed at undergraduate students and junior doctors and this year, our theme is 'Evolution in Surgery' with a special interest in innovation and advancement in surgery over the years through talks and interactive workshops.
Our conference will be held online on 9th of April between 9am and 5pm.
Tickets for the conference this year are FREE so please register to hear some world-renowed international speakers and engage in our workshops.
We have a very exciting conference planned so register soon before tickets sell out to avoid dissapointment!

Hey everyone!

We have a very exciting talk tomorrow (7/4/22) at 6:30pm titled: “Research in Surgery: What’s it all about?”

We’re looking forward to hearing from Mr Matthew Fok, a trainee General and Colore**al Surgeon in the North West. Mr Fok is currently studying for a PhD investigating radiotherapy and re**al cancer.

He is also chair of the NCRI’s Early Career Researcher Forum 🔬.

This is set to be a great talk and will be useful for students in ALL years of medical school 🤩.

Introducing… Ms Natasha Berridge!

Ms Berridge is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, dually qualified in both Medicine and Dentistry. Ms Berridge also holds a Masters’ Degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Ageing.

Miss Berridge is also Specialist Advisor on the Editorial Board for the PMFA (Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery & Facial Aesthetics) Journal, and is a clinical lecturer on the University of Manchester’s Aesthetic Medicine Masters’ programme.

We are very excited to hear from Ms Berridge at our WinS conference on 26th March!

Miss Hannah Emerson!
ENT Registrar, working in the North West Deanery after graduating from King's College London and completing
Foundation Training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. She then made the move up to Liverpool for Core Surgical
Training in ENT.
She has a strong interest in education and training, and has a clinical interest in
Pediatric ENT.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys
campervan, yoga and anything outdoors.

Currently an ST3 in Burns &
Plastic Surgery in the Mersey deanery, having completed CST & worked as a trust grade registrar in Manchester prior to getting her number in the Mersey Deanery.
She has an interest in Global Surgery, having intercalated in a Masters of Public Health, & is currently a committee member of FIRST Trainees.
