🚀 New Class Drop 🚀
Rocket Yoga with Karl
Starting Sunday | 10:00am

We’re excited to introduce Rocket Yoga to the studio a dynamic, uplifting practice designed to build strength, freedom, and confidence on the mat.

What is Rocket Yoga?
Rocket Yoga is a creative and empowering style of yoga rooted in Ashtanga, but with more freedom and play. There’s no set sequence, which means postures are accessible, adaptable, and layered. You’re encouraged to explore, modify, and challenge yourself at your own pace while staying connected to the breath.

Benefits of Rocket Yoga
• Builds strength and stamina
• Improves flexibility and mobility
• Supports arm balances and inversions in a safe, progressive way
• Encourages curiosity and play
• Strengthens the connection between breath and movement
• Leaves you feeling energised, focused, and grounded

This is a powerful practice for anyone wanting to feel strong in their body while cultivating presence and self trust.

Meet Your Teacher – Karl
Hi I’m Karl. I was first drawn to yoga in search of finding more peace and calm within myself, not realising the journey it would lead me on. As my practice deepened, yoga opened up an entire world of movement both inside and outside the body which I now use regularly to help bring balance into my life.

My focus is on pranayama and on cultivating a strong connection between movement and breath as we move through postures. I find that if we can control the breath, then we can fully understand ourselves and take control of where we are going.

Join us on the mat and experience a practice that’s strong, playful, and deeply grounding all at once ✨

✨ Do men come to yoga classes? Is yoga just for women? ✨

This is one of the most common questions we’re asked… and the answer is absolutely not.

At Yoga For The People, we often have just as many men as women in certain classes. Yoga is for humans not genders.

Yoga supports strength, flexibility, mobility, mental health, emotional regulation and nervous system balance. These are things every body needs. Men often come to yoga to release stress, improve movement, support injury recovery, build focus, regulate emotions and reconnect with themselves beyond pressure and performance.

The idea that yoga is “only for women” comes from stigma, not truth. Ego can create judgement, fear and stories about not belonging, but stepping into a yoga studio is actually an act of courage. Choosing to slow down, breathe, move consciously and listen to your body is powerful.

Our space is welcoming, down to earth and inclusive. No expectations. No judgement. Just real people showing up for themselves.

If you’ve ever felt curious but held back, this is your sign. 💫
Yoga is for men. Yoga is for women. Yoga is for you.
