Reprogramming the Autonomic Nervous System
For decades, scientists believed the Nervous System was hardwired after early development fixed, unchangeable, and resistant to repair. But breakthroughs in neuroplasticity have overturned that belief. We now know the Autonomic Nervous System can be reprogrammed, its neural circuits reshaped, rebalanced, and retrained through precise electrical stimulation.
That’s exactly what NESA XSignal does.
Jenny Torney
NESA WORLD
Using ultra-low-frequency electrical microcurrents, delivered non-invasively through 24 electrodes targeting peripheral nerves and key central pathways such as the spinal cord and vagus nerve, the system gently stimulates the body’s natural communication networks. The result? A measurable influence on the autonomic nervous system the control centre for heart rate variability, stress response, sleep, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
In short, we can now scientifically reprogramme aspects of the ANS not by forcing change, but by guiding the body back into its optimal state of balance.
At first, it sounds almost too good to be true, that’s exactly what we thought when we were first introduced to NESA XSignal. But the science, the clinical evidence, and most importantly, the results, speak for themselves.

Radial Shockwave Training Update | ISEH
Another successful radial shockwave training session completed at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH).
This session focused on the application of radial shockwave therapy for hip tendinopathies, including:
• Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS)
• Adductor Tendinopathy
• Proximal ITB Syndrome
Our training continues to combine evidence-based protocols with hands-on clinical application to help practitioners deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Clinics treat an average of 10 patients per week using shockwave.
With an average fee of £75 per session, that’s £3,000 per month / £36,000 per year in additional revenue – even at modest volumes.
Patients report benefits in as few as 2–3 sessions, with consistently high satisfaction ratings.
Clinicians scored effectiveness 4–5 out of 5 across a wide range of conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, patellar tendinopathy, shoulder pain and more.
Shockwave isn’t just another add on – it’s becoming a cornerstone of MSK and sports medicine. Clinics not offering it risk losing revenue.

Why More Clinics Are Adding Shockwave Therapy to Meet Patient Demand Across the UK, more patients are actively requesting shockwave therapy. For clinicians who don’t yet offer it, the choice has often been to refer patients to nearby practices or colleagues. While this ensures patients get the car...

Venn Healthcare are the UK's no 1 supplier and educator of Shockwave Therapy ESWT - having supplied over 550 NHS hospitals, Private hospitals and Clinics. Venn Healthcare has partnered with Storz Medical AG and is proud to be able to supply the most innovative and progressive Shockwave machines and equipment available on the market.
Shockwave Therapy is an established and effective treatment for soft-tissue injuries, recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), is clinically proven, covered by private health insurers and recognised by the top orthopeadic hospitals and professional sports bodies such as the English Institute of Sport. It involves passing short, intense sound waves – travelling faster than the speed of sound – into affected tissues; this causes micro trauma, increases blood flow and stimulates an acute inflammatory response, aiding the healing process.
Widely used in physiotherapy, podiatry, sports medicine and orthopaedics to provide fast pain relief and increased mobility, ESWT is increasingly used as a treatment for health problems as diverse as erectile dysfunction, slow-healing wounds, cellulite and loss of collagen.
