💬 **SEND Home-to-School/College Transport – We’d Love to Hear From You!**

Back in September, we asked families to share their experiences with **SEND Transport**, and your feedback helped us raise important issues with the **SEND Partnership Board**.

Now that the new term is in full swing, we’re checking in again — and we’d really value your voice!

If your **child or young person** uses **Home-to-School or College Transport**, please take a few minutes to let us know:

* How is transport working for your family right now?
* What’s going well?
* What still needs improving?

We meet regularly with the **Transport Team** and continue to share your experiences and concerns at both the **SEND Partnership Board** and the **Performance & Quality Group**.

Your feedback makes a real difference — it helps highlight what’s working and what needs to change.

👉 **Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey and help shape better transport for children and young people with SEND.**

Many care-experienced and looked-after children are thought to have FASD — far more than in the general population.

While estimates for the general population sit around 2–5%, research suggests that around 1 in 4 looked-after children may be affected.

This matters.
Because FASD is often missed or mislabelled as “behavioural issues”, “attachment difficulties”, ADHD, or autism alone.

When we understand the brain-based origins of behaviour, our approach shifts:
Less blame, more support.
Less “managing behaviour”, more co-regulation, safety and scaffolding.

Whenever we speak about learning, we have always spoken about this Pyramid of Learning. This shows that if we don’t get our child/young person’s sensory needs/differences sorted first, they will never be ready to learn!

I've referenced this pyramid of learning many times! And it's been recently updated to include the interoception system.

You can read more about each sensory system here > https://www.growinghandsonkids.com/a-comprehensive-guide-to-sensory-processing.html?utm_campaign=meetedgar&utm_medium=social&utm_source=meetedgar.com
