Millicans Opticians Huyton Millicans Opticians now based in Huyton & Old Swan have a very long history of providing quality eye tests in merseyside for over 60 years.

Everything started with the very first Millicans family opticians in 1949 by Harry Millican as part of a pharmacy in West Derby Road, Tuebrook. This was quickly followed by a second Millicans opticians in Everton Road in 1951 opened by his brother John Millican. The two Millicans then joined forces and opened a dedicated Millicans Opticians in Old Swan in 1956, very close to where the present Old Swan Millicans Opticians is today.

Do you love helping people look and feel their best? We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team!

✨ What you’ll do:

Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service

Assist with frame styling and lens choices

Support the optometrists with daily clinic tasks

Keep our practice running smoothly

👁️ What we’re looking for:

A people person with great communication skills

A team player who enjoys a varying paced environment

Previous optical or retail experience is a bonus — but full training is provided!

📅 Hours: Full time 9-5.30pm including saturdays 9-5pm.
