We’re so pleased to share that Emma is settling in beautifully at The Horse Trust 💛🐴

It’s extra special knowing that some familiar faces are already there our lovely Ellie and Buster, who retired a few years ago, are continuing to thrive and enjoy their well-deserved rest.

Emma has joined a group of new arrivals and seems to be settling quickly. She’s made the journey alongside three other newcomers two from the police force and another from an RDA group m and it’s wonderful to see them all beginning this new chapter together.

Seeing Emma relaxed and adjusting so well brings us so much comfort. She truly deserves this peaceful retirement after giving so much to our riders and volunteers over the years 💚

A huge thank you to Mustang Transport, and especially to Louise, who did a fantastic job ensuring Emma’s journey to her retirement at The Horse Trust was safe, calm, and smooth. We are so grateful for the care and kindness shown throughout 💛

A special mention to Anne Grindy, our Horse Coordinator, who helped get Emma ready to load onto the wagon and begin her journey. Anne also travelled with Emma to ensure she settled into her new home comfortably a true reflection of the care and dedication behind the scenes.

As we look back through these photos of Emma over the years, we’re reminded of just how much she has given to RDA bringing smiles, confidence, and unforgettable memories to so many riders and volunteers. Each photo captures a small part of her journey, the lives she’s touched, and the joy she’s brought to everyone around her.

Emma, you’ve truly been one in a million. While we’ll miss you dearly, we couldn’t be happier knowing you’re off to enjoy a well-deserved retirement 🐴💚

🐴 Emma’s Retirement 🐴

Hi everyone 🤍
On Saturday we celebrated Emma’s retirement surrounded by riders and volunteers, both past and present, who came to say their goodbyes.

We’re so grateful to share that we raised £642, which will go to The Horse Trust, where Emma will be lovingly cared for in her retirement.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special it meant the world.

✨ A little goodbye for Emma ✨
Soft steps now, no reins to guide,
Just open fields and time on your side.
You’ve given so much, gentle and true,
Now the quiet life is waiting for you 🤍

🌟 Volunteer Appreciation 🌟

A huge well done to four of our wonderful volunteers: Paige, Elaine, Debbie and Sarah, who have successfully completed their training for Preparing and Assisting RDA Sessions. 👏

They generously gave up their Sunday afternoons to complete the training and support our group, and we are so grateful for their dedication.

Having regular, trained volunteers makes a huge difference to our sessions and helps ensure our riders receive the consistent support they need to get the most out of their time with us. 🐎💙

Thank you for giving your time and commitment our riders and the whole team truly appreciate it!

A very special celebration at RDA this week 🎉🥰

We’ve had two incredible volunteers celebrate their 80th birthdays with us!

💛 John Keight - An amazing part of our RDA family for over 20 years.
💛 Sandra Richardson – dedicated to RDA for 10 wonderful years.

The time, care and commitment they’ve given to our riders, ponies and community is truly priceless. Volunteers like John and Sandra are the heart of everything we do.

Thank you both for your years of hard work, kindness and unwavering support.

Happy 80th Birthday! 🎂✨

Duchess stepped forward, calm and wise,
A gentle look in knowing eyes.

A quiet sniff, a soft hello,
The first to greet our new friend, Gusto.

One by one the herd drew near,
Curious hearts with nothing to fear.

And just like that, beneath open sky,
A new bond formed as time went by 🤍

✨ Merry Christmas from everyone at Crosby RDA ✨

As the year draws to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you.
To our riders, who remind us every week what courage and joy look like.
To our volunteers, who give their time, kindness, and endless patience.
And to everyone who supported our fundraising events none of this would be possible without you.

This year has been filled with small wins, big smiles, muddy boots, and moments that will stay with us long after the reins are hung up for winter.

We’re so grateful for our community and all that we’ve achieved together.
We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and a bright New Year and we can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

With love,
Crosby RDA 💙
