Thank you so much to everyone who’s messaged and commented about my surgery 🤍 I thought it might be easier to share this here rather than explaining individually (which I dont mind if people still want to ask!)
This was my sixth recurrent loss. I’ve been on aspirin since my second pregnancy, progesterone since my third, and this time I was also prescribed an autoimmune medication in case my body was attacking the pregnancy. Alongside folic acid, that made four medications in total
I’ve had every blood test, scan and investigation possible, and nothing flags — not even borderline. We know my uterus has an abnormal shape, which makes me high risk, but as my losses aren’t happening later on, they now don’t believe this is the cause
Before surgery yesterday, they scanned me and said the sac was still growing exactly as it should, the placenta was fully formed and strong, yet the pregnancy had stopped two weeks earlier. The only explanation they could give was an immune issue, but even the medication didn’t work this time. I was told I’m a “medical mystery”
I have a follow-up at the end of the month… and then, who knows what the future holds 🤍
