The Timms Review steering group wants to hear from you on the future of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

The group is co-producing the first ever full review of PIP, with disabled people at its heart.

Today, the group is launching the first step in their inclusive and accessible engagement - a Call for Evidence on a range of issues related to PIP. They will be sharing information on more ways to get involved soon.

Our Health Matters group had a health walk around our local park today and did some litter picking so we left the park nice and litter free! Look how much rubbish we collected! 😱

Congratulations to all of our members on the Cancer Screening Programme short films they took part in with Sefton Council for Voluntary Service - CVS and Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance. We attended the premiere at the Plaza Community Cinema in Waterloo yesterday and saw our hard work on the big screen!

Once we can we will be sharing the films with everyone so watch this space!

Today we had our AGM. Well done to everyone who took part including everyone who did a speech, everyone who read out about our projects and everyone who won an award! Everyone works so hard all year round and its great to have an opportunity to celebrate this!

This after we took part in accessable voting. We learnt how to register to vote, what ID is needed to vote and who and how staff can suport us to vote. In the afternoon we had a performance from Bridge inn Farm

This morning we got a guest Nicole from Accessible voting Sefton Election team they come in to talk about accessible voting for people with a learning disabilities and Autism and in afternoon we got people from Bridge inn Farm doing drama ice breaker workshop

Yesterday morning we heard from Nicola about her experiences of Breast Cancer and in the afternoon we heard from Emma about her experience of Crohn's Disease. It was brilliant to hear both Nicola and Emma raising awareness of these health conditions. Thank you both for being so open and helping us understand!

People First Merseyside are hosting a special film premiere at the Plaza cinema in Crosby, and it would be great if you could join them.

The film we will be showcasing has been created by the members of People First Merseyside, a self-advocacy organisation run by, and for, people with learning disabilities.

It carries a powerful message about the importance of cancer screening. It also stars clinicians from our health and screening services across Cheshire and Merseyside helping our actors to show what’s involved when you attend a screening appointment.

Yesterday the Health Matters group went to the Museum of Liverpool. We took part in a Dementia Awareness workshop with the House of Memories group! We all really enjoyed the day and hope to work with House of Memories again!
