Are you aged between 21-35, a non-smoker and would like to consider becoming an egg donor?

Many people from all ethnic backgrounds going through fertility treatment rely on egg donors to help achieve their dream of having a family.

We currently have a shortage of egg donors - could you help one of our patients?

Egg donation can give hope to women who may not be able to have a baby themselves due to having gone through early menopause or having had treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer.

It can also help those who are looking to avoid passing on a genetic disorder to a child, or same s*x couples who hope to have a family through surrogacy.

If you would like speak to a member of the team you can also call 0151 702 4212 or email: lwft.donorbank@nhs.net

This International Men’s Day, we’re shining a light on a conversation that has been overlooked for far too long: male fertility and the emotional journey men face when building a family. 💙

For many intended fathers, fertility challenges carry a deep and often invisible weight. Men are still too often left out of fertility dialogue, expected to stay strong, stay silent, or simply “be fine.”

This silence can intensify feelings of shame, isolation, and self-doubt, with research from the likes of Fertility Network UK citing a a profound impact on mental health and overall wellbeing.

It’s time to change that.

Male fertility matters. Men’s emotions matter. Their hopes, fears, and dreams of parenthood matter just as much as anyone else’s. By bringing men into the fertility conversation with empathy, openness, and support, we not only break down stigma, we create space for healthier, more informed, and more connected journeys to parenthood.🙏

This is not just a conversation for Movember or International Men’s Day. This is a conversation that needs to be brought into the every day, so that men can navigate fertility pathways, whether through testing, treatment, IVF, surrogacy, or donor conception, knowing that their experience is valued and catered for.

Men’s fertility matters too. 🩵

, & .action have some brilliant resources for men looking for fertility support. Please reach out to them if needed.

Help a dream come to life – become an egg donor

Many people from all ethnic backgrounds going through fertility treatment rely on egg donors to help achieve their dream of having a family.

We currently have a shortage of egg donors - could you help one of our patients?

The The Hewitt Fertility Centre is part of Liverpool Women's University Hospital and performs around 3,500 fertility treatments every year.

If you’re aged between 21-35, a non-smoker and would like to consider becoming an egg donor, go to The Hewitt Fertility Centre website to find out more and to complete a donor enquiry form: https://www.thehewittfertilitycentre.org.uk/how-can-we-help-you/i-would-like-to-become-a-donor/i-would-like-to-become-an-egg-donor/
