Knowsley Centre for Independent Living The Knowsley CIL provides a number of services which can help people to live more independently. Our friendly staff are available to provide advice.

Knowsley Centre for Independent Living (CIL) aims to make life easier. We are a partnership of organisations who work together to promote independence. The CIL has been developed with the Knowsley User Led Organisation (ULO) ensuring that local people influence what and how services are provided in Knowsley. The CIL provides a number of services which can help people to live more independently. With our own plan showroom, there is a range of equipment on display that local people can drop in and try out such as stair lifts, chaits, beds, mobility, bathing and toileting aids. There is no requirement to book an appointment to visit the CIL showroom. You can just drop in.

The annual Go Kids Go Childrens Wheelchair Skills training course took place on saturday 21st June. Huge Success again the course covered Skills such as back wheel balancing, essential for independant ascending and desending of kerbs, negociating slopes and rough ground. Road Safety , emergency evacuation. Fun Games, including wheelchair dance, basketball and bulldog. Some photographs from the day.

A huge well done to all staff at the CIL we have raised £1100 through our Tuck Shop, Raffles for nominated charities, Honey Rose Foundation, GO KIDS GO, Guide Dogs and Memory Lane. Thank you to Sue Duddle for all her hard work and time to keep this succesful.
