We’d like to say a massive thank you to Old Swan FC for fundraising an amazing £140 for our Christmas Appeal. Every penny raised helps us support families in our community with toys, food hampers and festive support when it’s needed most.

We’re so grateful for the time, effort and generosity that went into this fundraising. Support like this really does make a difference and helps us get closer to reaching families who need us.

Thank you again to everyone at Old Swan FC for backing our appeal and showing such great community spirit.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Slimming World Old Swan & Tuebrook and their amazing Slimmers for donating so many tombola prizes, which helped us raise much-needed funds for our Christmas food hampers.

Their generosity doesn’t stop there. All year round they continue to support us, from donating beautiful prizes for our JLC tombola at the JLC festival to helping us raise funds to build our community garden, always thinking of ways to help and give back.

We’re so grateful for their ongoing kindness and support. Thank you for always being there for us and for helping make such a difference in our community.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Calum and his team at Barclays for their incredible support in donating large amounts of food for our Christmas hampers. Throughout December, they rallied their colleagues and families to donate, and the response has been amazing.

Their generosity will help us put together hampers that don’t just cover Christmas Day, but also include enough food to support families for at least a week over the school holidays.

Calum and the team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re a genuinely lovely group of people who clearly look out for others and are truly motivated to do kind work and make a positive difference in the community.

Thank you to everyone at Barclays who got involved.

We’re 95% of the way there! Can you help us get over the line?

Our Christmas Appeal is so close to its target, and with just a little more support we can make sure no family in our community goes without this Christmas. If you’re able to donate or share this post, it really could make all the difference.

Because of an incredible effort from our team and the wider community, we’ve now given out over 500 toys and gifts, with more still going out this week. Alongside this, we’re delivering Christmas Day hampers containing everything families need for Christmas dinner, plus enough food to last at least a week over the school holidays.

This appeal has been powered by people coming together, and we’ve honestly been blown away by the kindness shown. We want to say a huge thank you to The Old Swan and Shanghai Dave’s darts team, the iGPc Social Prescriber (GP surgeries and social prescribers), Barclays, Tesco, Busy Bee Nurseries, Slimming World Old Swan & Tuebrook, Liverpool Lions and Old Swan FC

It’s been a very busy few weeks at The Joseph Lappin Centre. After delivering 2 grottos, hosting BBC Merseyside and BBC News, ensuring over 180 children received toys and gifts … this week our team are putting together hampers for families in need. We couldn’t do it without the help of all our supporters who have donated food and through our Justgiving page.
Just the fresh meats and vegetables to go in and they are ready for collection.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Tesco for their incredible support this Christmas. They’ve run a fantastic toy drive, donated delicious mince pies, and gone above and beyond by recently helping us decorate our community hub room (where we host our Bingo sessions, men’s peer support groups and training courses).

Their support hasn’t just helped at Christmas, it’s helped create a welcoming space that our community uses all year round. From toys for children, to festive treats, to rolling up their sleeves and helping improve our hub, it’s support like this that makes such a real difference.

Thank you to everyone at Tesco who got involved and supported us!!

We want to say a massive thank you to the iGPc Social Prescriber (Innovative General Practice Collaborative) for organising a brilliant food drive for our Christmas hampers. Because of their kindness, families in our community will receive not just a Christmas dinner, but also festive treats and enough food to see them through at least a week over the school holidays. This helps make sure no one goes hungry this Christmas.

The Collaborative brings together GP practices from across the area, including our most local surgeries Old Swan Practice and Rock Court, along with many other practices who all got behind this and helped make it happen.

It means so much to see people who care for our community every day also coming together to support families in a really practical way like this when it matters most. This food will make a genuine difference to so many households over Christmas.

Thank you to Mel and Chelsie for organising and everyone involved. Your support is truly appreciated.

Every year, one of the biggest ways we’re able to collect so many toys is thanks to the incredible support of the amazing team at The Old Swan

It truly is a special place, full of kind and lovely punters and the best community spirit you could wish for.

The generosity shown by everyone there never fails to blow us away. Year after year, they come together to think about others who are in need and that kindness makes a real difference to so many families.

A huge shout-out as well to Shanghai Dave’s darts team, who are absolutely brilliant and always get involved in supporting our cause.

We honestly love working with you all.

Thank you, Lois, your team, and everyone at The Old Swan.

Last week we gave out over 400 toys and gifts, with even more going out this week. The demand this year is sadly higher than ever, and we’ve worked incredibly hard to make sure every donation reached the families who need them most.

We were proud to host BBC Radio Merseyside, act as a drop-off point for Give a Gift and Mission Christmas, welcome Santa himself promoting our cause on North West Tonight, and spend the week collecting, organising and distributing toys across our community.

But none of this would have been possible without YOU.

A huge thank you to the amazing organisations who supported us; including Liverpool Lions and Busy Bee Nursery, who ran toy drives on our behalf. Thank you to everyone who donated tombola prizes, helping us raise vital funds. Thank you to St Oswald’s, whose wonderful choir brought extra festive cheer to our radio show.

And most importantly, thank you to every single person who walked through our doors with a toy, a gift, or a kind word. Your generosity and support mean everything to us.

We truly couldn’t have done any of this without you.
