Leaking when you sneeze or cough? 👀💦
Timing matters more than you think.

There’s a simple technique I teach all the time in clinic called “The Knack.”

It means gently lifting your pelvic floor just before and during anything that increases pressure in your tummy — like sneezing, coughing, laughing, lifting or jumping.

Here’s why it works:

When you sneeze, there’s a sudden spike of pressure downward.
If your pelvic floor doesn’t switch on quickly enough, leakage can happen.

But when you pre-activate (lift first):

✨ You improve urethral support
✨ You train reflex timing
✨ You reduce downward strain on the bladder

It’s not just about strength.
It’s about speed and coordination.
