TA Practitioner Process Group - April 2026 Start 🌿

Training to be a therapist is a lot of work, amongst the theory and professional development we also need opportunities to find our own voice. This online process group is a gentle, low-pressure space for TA trainees and newly qualified practitioners to reconnect with their authentic selves.

We will work creatively and flexibly. It’s a neuro-affirming and inclusive environment where your autonomy comes first. There are no forced tasks or "performances," just a supportive space to explore your process at your own pace.

When: Mondays, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, from April 13th 2026

Where: Online (Google Meet)

Opinion: The Trevor Project's report reveals the devastating impact of conversion therapy on LGBTQ+ youth. As the numbers rise, so does the urgency to protect and affirm these vulnerable young lives, argues Timothy Schraeder Rodriguez.

Neurodiversity includes many ways that our brains might operative differently to what some consider to be “normal.” This can include self- or formally diagnosed Dyslexia, Autism, Dyspraxia, ADHD etc. It may also just be a felt sense of being different, without labelling or any desire for diagnosis.

Living as a neurodivergent person comes with significant challenges, which are different to other neurodivergent people’s challenges. Neuro-affirmative therapy focuses on your own lived experience of the world, including all aspects that may be neurodivergent. Exploring your frame of reference can help me understand how to help you better, including how to build safety in therapy sessions, allowing you to trust and move into deeper work, if you want to.

If you feel neuro-affirmative therapy may help you, a good match with the right therapist is essential. Feel free to get in touch for a 30 minute zero obligation discovery call with me.

Internalised homophobia, biphobia and transphobia are often a response to immersion in a culture dominated by negative attitudes, stereotypes, or prejudices about who we are — combined with a lack of representation of our difference in popular culture e.g. music, movies, educational curriculum and fashion.

If we can’t see reflections of ourselves in our environment, how can we be ourselves in our environment?

The impacts of internalised oppression are far reaching and vastly complex to navigate and recover from. It’s really important to not be alone in the journey towards fully embracing our own identity as well as the communities to which we might belong.

If you feel like this affects you and you’d like to talk about it, please reach out for a free discovery call with me.

Burnout is exceptionally hard to identify when you’re stuck in the paralysis it brings. Some folk find that they struggle to take good care of themselves but can sometimes find energy to do things for others. This experience isn’t universal but can point towards one of the common issues in society - our tendency to derive our self worth from how much we help others - people pleasing. Ultimately, learning how to sense, meet and prioritise our own needs is key to starting to recover from burnout. Therapy can be instrumental in exploring our needs and wants, starting gently and building self care to move out of burnout sustainably.

My approach is to focus on exploring how you experience life to understand where burn out may have started and the ongoing contributing factors. We can then plan, together, a gentle course of action. I believe recovery isn’t something most of us can manage alone so continuing to discuss and pace change in therapy sessions can be vital. Get in touch to discuss how we might shape recovery from burnout for you, together.
