Great to have the team here Sefton Council for Voluntary Service - CVS as part of the 16 days of action to raise awareness around violence against women and girls.

We also had visits from the Police and Crime Commissioners

Last Tuesday was White Ribbon Day which marks the start of ‘16 Days of Activism’ aimed at eliminating gender-based violence.

On Friday 5 December, join us here at Strand By Me - there will be an information stall outside between 11am – 3pm with refreshments, and the opportunity to reflect and pledge what you will do to be part of ending violence against women and girls – whether this is spreading awareness, challenging behaviour, training or something else.

Merseyside has experienced a significantly high rate of femicide compared to the UK in recent years. There is still a lot more important work to do and starting conversations can raise awareness and destigmatise something that thrives in silence

A great offering from In Another Place Bootle Strand Grotto this year!

Can you hear the sleigh bells ringing in Bootle Strand? December is only 2 weeks away, and with it comes our favourite annual visitor! Santa himself arrives at The Castle on Saturday 6th, ready to visit all the children of Bootle and beyond!
