Overthinking — Before & After
Before, I used to fall asleep fine — no problem.
But through the night I’d wake up with a full head.
Straight into thinking about work, conversations, decisions…
and I’d be that awake I could’ve gone for a run at 3am.
By the time morning came, my mind had already lived a whole day before I’d even opened my eyes.
That was my normal for years.
But here’s the shift…
Now, I start my day by meditating and setting my intention.
It brings me straight into myself.
It stops that spiralling before it starts.
And it reminds me that I choose how I show up — not my overthinking.
I’ve learned that overthinking isn’t me “being dramatic”…
it’s just a sign I’m out of balance and my mind is running ahead because my body feels pressure.
So when I wake up like that now, I don’t chase the thoughts.
I take a breath, drop back into myself, and come into the moment.
And every time, my mind settles.
My energy steadies.
And I can actually think clearly instead of spiralling.
This is what I want to share in my video today,
not perfection, just the truth of how it was… and how I manage it now.
If you’re waking up in the night with your mind racing, you’re not broken —
you’re just out of balance.
And balance can always be brought back.
