Applications for our Bridging Course are now open!

Are you a qualified adult counsellor, looking for experience in counselling children and young people? Train for free within a BACP-accredited service.

This bespoke six-day course is for qualified adult counsellors wishing to gain relevant training in counselling children and young people presenting with bereavement, domestic abuse and loss, using a therapeutic approach. The course is aligned to the BACP curriculum for counselling children and young people aged 4 to 18 years.

Members of all our aftercare groups and friends/family came together for the first time to share some midwinter cheer at our Winter Warmer event.

Our Emotional Youth Club with Katumba Drumming welcomed everyone with an energetic performance ending with the audience joining in. Claire from Positive life workshops CIC worked with our groups to make decorated lanterns and turned them into a wellbeing labyrinth and chillout space. We also enjoyed crafting and well-deserved cake. Our event was held on 17th January which was traditionally a day of wassailing, blessing the fruit trees for a good harvest and spreading good cheer for the forthcoming spring.

We are so proud of the amazing artists in our groups and all the support they give each other.

This week, we were delighted to gift some of our donated Christmas stockings to the St Margaret Mary's School, which were gratefully received by their Pastoral Support team (pictured). These stocking will go to children who have received bereavement and loss counselling through Listening Ear.

The festive season can be especially difficult for those coping with loss, so it was wonderful to bring a little joy and comfort to these amazing young people. A big thank you to LaplandUK who made this possible.
