This week’s training wrapped up ✅
2 x HYROX classes , run club , lower body strength with the girls , mega erg endurance session with and 2 x parter WODs

Not every week goes to plan, but the work is getting done… and with just 8 weeks until my first ever HYROX Pro Singles race it’s time to level up 🔥

🔥 Track session with the Crew42 gang yesterday and wow… it was a tough one!

Workout:
🏃‍♂️ 3 x 1km runs @ “race pace” (although with Jake setting 3:30 pace it definitely wasn’t mine 😭) – 2 mins rest between
🏃‍♀️ 4 x 400m fast with 60s rest
🏃 6 x 200m relay sprints to finish

Every rep hurt, but this is the kind of training I need for HYROX.

Why?
✅ HYROX is majority running – 8 x 1km runs broken up with stations – so the ability to hold pace under fatigue is crucial.
✅ Sessions like this build aerobic capacity (so I can keep going longer) and speed endurance (so I can recover quicker between stations).
✅ Shorter, faster reps push me outside my comfort zone, making my “race pace” feel easier on the day.

It wasn’t easy, but nothing worth achieving ever is. These track sessions are where the real gains are made 👊

🔥 Training for HYROX: The Road Ahead 🔥

November = Pro Singles.
January = Mixed Doubles.

That means one thing: the work starts NOW.

HYROX isn’t just about being fit — it’s about being able to run hard, lift heavy, and keep moving when your legs are screaming at you to stop. Training for it means:
🏃‍♀️ More miles in the legs
🛑 Learning to perform under serious fatigue
💪 Getting stronger every single week
⚡ Dialling in mindset, pacing & recovery

It’s going to be tough. Some sessions will feel brutal. But having those competitions locked in is the best motivation — a solid goal to chase, a reason to show up even on the hard days.

Over the next few months I’ll be sharing the reality of HYROX training: the sessions, the struggles, the small wins, and how YOU can train to take it on too.

This isn’t just exercise — it’s preparation for the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and grit.

Let’s get to work.
