The Community Centre is located next to the Church in Church Road, Roberttown. It was originally a school and was purchased for use by the people of Roberttown in the early 1970’s. It has been run by a committee of local residents ever since and is entirely self-funding, relying on income from the groups who hire it on a regular basis, and from individuals who hire it for private functions. It does not receive any funding for the day to day running costs from Kirklees Council. Regular users include Roberttown Community Centre Pre-school; Art Group; Roberttown & District Womens Institute (WI); Dru Yoga and Pilates; JuJitsu and Karate; Archery; Slimming World; Running Club and Cycling Club. Full details of all groups are posted on the notice board near the car park entrance, and on our website. We are always happy to welcome new members to our committee and invite anyone who is interested to our next meeting, which is in the centre lounge at 7.30pm on the dates shown on the main page.
