We are thrilled to announce that Kirk Lane Nursing Home has won Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland 2024!

This Caring UK Award celebrates and recognises excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK.

During a comprehensive two-stage judging process over recent months, we had the opportunity to provide examples of and demonstrate the team at Kirk Lane’s commitment to care home excellence. This was evidenced by the Care Inspectorate report, glowing testimonials and reviews from residents, staff, and families.
The process also allowed us to highlight examples of best practice in person-centred care, success stories, overcoming challenges, and future planning. We were able to provide examples too of career pathways and development showcasing social care as a rewarding career.

We also presented the support provided by the Head Office team, including advancements in digital initiatives and proactive practices that contribute to Kirk Lane’s success. Examples of teamwork and innovation were key elements in portraying a holistic picture of excellence.

For each category, up to seven finalists were selected to advance to the final stage of the competition. The winners were announced at the prestigious awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on Thursday, December 5, where the industry gathered to celebrate outstanding achievements in the care sector.

Celebrating Outstanding Achievements at the Scottish Care Home Awards 2024!

We are so proud of the commitment and dedication of our staff across our 7 homes. On Friday 15th November, we had an opportunity to recognise some individuals who had been nominated by colleagues, residents and families for a Scottish Care Home award. With finalists across 5 categories, we celebrated their success at The Hilton hotel, Glasgow.

We are thrilled that Sam Gilmour and Malcolm MacDonald, Maintenance Team at Kirk Lane, are top 3 finalists for the Care Innovation award. This recognises exceptional achievements in transforming the care home community, service, and environment.

Another outstanding achievement for the Randolph Hill Group when Kirk Lane were announced top 4 Scottish Care finalists for Care Home Service of the Year award.
This prestigious award recognises services that can prove that they are at the forefront of care home provision in Scotland.
The team were thrilled to attend the event at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow on 17th November. Well done to all!

It was an evening of celebration as Randolph Hill attended the Scottish Care awards on 17th November at The Hilton hotel, Glasgow, and for the Kirk Lane Activity team be top 3 finalists for the Meaningful Activity award.
This recognises their dedication to creativity, commitment and achievement and we are very proud of our team for all that they do for residents!

Festival Fringe brings laughs to all Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group
Comedians Jojo Sutherland and Carey Marx were delighted to visit all 7 Randolph Hill Nursing Homes, as part of their performances at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, including residents, relatives and staff from Kirk Lane in Livingston on 25th August, and all felt part of the overall festival experience.
