Too often we can get stuck in our over thinking conscious mind, riddled with worry, doubts, fears and inner dialogue that can criticise and damage our inner beauty. But we can learn to break free from the negatives, embrace our higher self and live connected to our inner truths. When we live connected to, and embracing our thoughts, feelings and emotions, we begin to live more fully and deeply. We can make a choice, to live with feelings of love, happiness, joy and contentment, or feelings of pain, guilt or resentment. Deep breathing is one of those small habits that quietly transforms how your whole system functions.

When you breathe fully and steadily, you’re not just “relaxing” — you’re giving your brain and body the oxygen they need to work at their best.

And your brain uses a surprising amount of your body’s oxygen — it’s one of the hungriest organs you have. When your breathing is shallow or rushed, you take in less oxygen, and your body compensates by increasing stress hormones.

When your breathing is slow and deep, oxygen levels rise, and your brain can:
• Think more clearly
• Regulate emotions more effectively
• Maintain better concentration
• Support overall energy and mood

A great strategy for bringing in more positivity & productivity to your day, is the "comic book" technique".

It's ideal in the morning to start the day, or as you lie in bed at night (to give your mind more time to adjust orient to your great ideas).

Close your eyes and sketch your day like a comic strip:
- A frame for each major task
- A frame for a break
- A frame for something enjoyable

This practice is quick, visual, and surprisingly motivating ❤

I simply love this swiss cheese model of self care from .worry.people

There is no wrong way or right way to self care for yourself, and it's always going to be a blend of different things, that work best for you as an individual ❤

Don't forget there is power in your breath!

A long slow exhale encourages your parasympathetic nervous system to automatically relax your body.

Not only that, but slow breathing improves your blood flow, can relieve pain, improves your sleep and can improve your energy levels.

Making time for a even just a few minutes of slowed breathing, when your exhale is longer than your inhale can improve your mood and release stress from the mind too ❤

Your boundaries matter! Your boundaries are setting the tone for what you do and don't want in your life, what you will accept, and what you will not tolerate.

We are ALL allowed to actively encourage, change and adapt our boundaries without being held to reason or ransom by others. So please make time to get clear on yours, if you can - it really does help welcome in your empowerment!
