Self care is important because no matter how often you successfully push through and drive on through the tough times, eventually energy runs out.

But the more you can incorporate small moments of relaxation and happiness into every day life, the easier it becomes to remain in a positive state of mind, more often.

However, its also important to understand that sometimes self care is simply recognising that its alright to feel all of these things without having to "fix" anything ❤️

Being proud of yourself includes proud of who you've been, and proud of your journey.
This can be incredibly challenging for those of us who haven't always truly liked ourselves - but remember that without your past, without the mistakes and all the challenges, you wouldn't be who you are now.

You have always been, and will always remain worthy of love. And you are undoubtedly, who you should be, even as you continue to grow into your highest self ❤
You are wiser, stronger and more capable than you believed you could be at one time, and that is always worth celebrating.

Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. It might be something monumental and life changing that increases our stress levels, but often it's the small moment to moments challenges and upsets that switch our stress response on.

When stressed, our nervous system releases a flood of hormones including Adrenaline and Cortisol, which rouse our body for emergency action - essentially switching on our fight, flight and freeze response.

There may be times you feel like the stress in your life is out of control, but you can always take control of the way you respond, and simple behaviours and practices that lower your cortisol can help you feel more empowered, whilst lowering your stress levels and improving your overall wellbeing.

Writing things down doesn't have to mean a to do list, it can be random thoughts noted down, or a list of the small, positive things that happen in one day or week. It could even be a plan of action, an intention, or positive quotes.

But keeping everything in your head is never easy! So, writing things down - useful? Or another chore? What's your thoughts?
