Job Description
Due to continued expansion and a number of large-scale ongoing projects, Phoenix Drilling Limited is seeking a Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity to support our growing operations and contribute to the success of high-impact initiatives.
The role is predominantly based in our workshop in Livingston, West Lothian, with travel to sites across the UK as required to respond to breakdowns and repairs.
You should have experience in the maintenance of mobile drilling plant and equipment including, but not limited to the following activities:
โข Diesel engines
โข Hydraulic systems
โข Electrics
โข Electronics
โข Engines and fuel systems
โข Welding
Skills
โข Mechanical and Electrical Expertise โ Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
โข Preventive and Predictive Maintenance โ Ability to implement and manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
โข Problem-Solving Skills โ Quick and effective troubleshooting of equipment failures and maintenance issues.
โข Technical Knowledge โ Familiarity with machinery, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
โข Health & Safety Awareness โ Understanding of safety standards, regulations, and best practices in industrial environments.
โข Project Management โ Capable of managing maintenance projects, upgrades, and equipment overhauls.
โข Communication Skills โ Able to clearly communicate with team members and management
โข Adaptability โ Able to respond to shifting priorities, emergency repairs, and evolving operational needs
