A big congratulations to our HGV driver Emma Meek whose fantastic shot has been selected as our February Photo of the Month! 👏

The photo captures our Scania moving our Dando Geotech 6 on its way from site in Girvan. A great example of the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep our projects moving efficiently.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 – 𝗕𝗩𝟮𝟬𝟲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹

Another two Hägglund BV206 machines are nearing completion of a major overhaul in our workshop.

Next up, we’ll be mounting a Comacchio GEO205 with a 400 CFM compressor on the other unit, getting everything prepared for upcoming site works in the Highlands.

Great work from the team getting these machines ready to head back out into the field.

𝗢𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲 – 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀

Ground investigation works are actively progressing at Kincardine Substation, where Crew 1 & 9 are delivering a coordinated programme alongside our friends at Ardmore Point

Current activities include geotechnical soils boreholes, with rotary cored and open holes advancing to depths of up to 50m. Gas and groundwater monitoring installations are also being completed, providing essential data to support environmental compliance and foundation design.

A strong team effort on site, maintaining high safety standards while delivering accurate and reliable ground investigation results.

Catching a breath between borehole locations means it’s a washdown and rig maintenance kind of day for Crew 3 – Cammy & Dean 💪

Currently operating on one of our long-term energy projects in Aberdeenshire, the team is making the most of a well-earned pause to keep the kit in top condition and ready for the next push.

Regular washdowns and maintenance aren’t just part of the job – they’re key to safety, efficiency and delivering consistent quality on site.

Fresh, prepped, and ready to get back at it 💪

This week, Crews 9 & 14 are on site at Western Harbour, Leith, working alongside DAM Geotechnical Services to complete a programme of soils boreholes.

Works include:
• In-situ testing
• Soil sampling
• Installation of gas & groundwater monitoring points

A great example of teamwork delivering high-quality ground investigation.

This week, the Phoenix Drilling workshop was busy getting our Fraste XL Multidrill and Dando Geotech 6 rigs through scheduled servicing and fabrication — all handled with skill, precision, and care.

Support vehicles also rolled in for routine maintenance, and thanks to our dedicated team, turnarounds were fast, thorough, and seamless.

Reliability on site starts with the people behind the scenes — and our workshop crew consistently delivers.
