If there was one piece of advice I wish I was given when I was in my teens it would be to use a higher than SPF8 (that was usually the highest I used) on my body and face!!!

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

MLD stimulates the movement of lymph facilitating the removal of metabolic wastes, excess water, toxins and bacteria and has powerful cleansing, relaxing and pain relieving effects boosting the immune system helping the body to ward off illness.

It helps to improve the appearance of the skin, reducing puffiness caused by water retention, poor circulation or pregnancy and as with other massage it can help with pain from fractures, sprains and rheumatism and promotes the body's own healing mechanisms.

JOB VACANCY - PART-TIME TRAINEE BROW & LASH TECHNICIAN / SALON ASSISTANT

Looking for someone who is interested in working in the beauty/wellness industry or already works in the industry and would like to train in brows and lashes.

Also having an interest in bridal hair/make up or festival hair/make up would be an advantage but not a deal breaker.

There is also the opportunity to train in brow lamination. Training for brow/lash and brow lamination will be provided.

If you have training in treatments such as Manicure or Pedicure (other treatments considered) there is the opportunity to perform these treatments within the Salon as well.

Other duties would include:

Greeting clients when necessary
Setting up of treatment room for next client
Maintaining cleanliness of treatment room
Other light cleaning duties as required

You must be friendly, polite, reliable and of a smart, professional appearance. Branded tunic/workwear provided.

Times will vary depending on when you would be available. Working days and times are flexible between 10am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday to work around your current schedule, but preferably you would be available to work on a minimum of two days of each week.

All products/equipment is provided.

Additional information:

Please note that this is a self-employed position and would initially be for around an estimated 8-10 hours per week, however this has the potential to increase depending on client demand.

Pay: £5.50 - £12.00 per hour with the potential to earn more. This is a great opportunity to earn commission when performing your own treatments (this will be a percentage of treatment takings). Earnings will be paid weekly.

There is the potential for extra hours helping out in the dog grooming salon as required, if interested.

This post may be most suitable for someone looking for additional earnings on top of their current role or as an introduction to working within beauty/wellness. Start date is flexible but would preferably be as soon as possible in next few weeks.

Preferably looking for someone who lives relatively close to the Salon or within a short drive/commute.
