This week is a reminder to pause, breathe, and take care of your mental wellbeing. Stress is something we all experience, but learning how to manage it can make a huge difference. 💛

Take time for *you* — go for a walk, talk to someone you trust, or simply unplug for a few minutes. Small steps can have a big impact on your mind and body. 🌿

Last week at Llanarth, Halloween celebrations were under way 🎃

Each ward held their own individual party, where terrifying treats were eaten and haunted games were played 👻

We also held a hospital wide Halloween party which took place at our on site coffee shop ☠

From face painting to pumpkin carving, apple bobbing to mummy wrapping 🧻as you can see everyone had a spooktastic time! 🧹

Occupational Therapy Week! 💚

This week we are celebrating the incredible work of Occupational Therapy (OTs and OTAs) both here at Llanarth Court Hospital and across the UK.

Occupational Therapy supports people to engage in the everyday activities that matter most to them and aid in their recovery — from self-care and hobbies, to work and social connection. OTs focus on what is meaningful to that person and discover practical ways to promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing. 😇

This year’s theme, “Right Support, Right Time: Unlocking the Power of OT” emphasises the creativity, compassion, and problem-solving that OTs and OTAs bring to their work — making a real difference in people’s lives when it matters most.

A big thank you to all the OTs and OTAs out there for your dedication and care — helping people achieve their goals, overcome challenges and regain their independence. ❤

Llanarth Court — a leading 95-bed secure forensic service — is looking for a PBS Practitioner to lead and deliver evidence-based, person-centred support for adults with complex needs.

What you’ll do:
✨ Lead PBS implementation across the service
✨ Support individuals and teams to promote positive, proactive approaches
✨ Help reduce restrictive practices and enhance wellbeing

What you’ll bring:
🎓 Qualification in PBS or related field (e.g. ABA, Autism Studies), or a post graduate psychology qualification.
💬 Experience in behavioural assessment, intervention, and PBS training
🚗 Full UK driving licence and car for business use
