🌱✨ Did you know that fiber is like the unsung hero of nutrition? It's not just about counting calories or macros; fiber plays a crucial role in keeping our bodies happy and healthy! 🥦💪

🍎 Fiber isn't just a "nice-to-have" addition to our diets; it's like the secret sauce that makes everything else work better. It's often considered the 4th macro, alongside protein, carbs, and fats. But why is it so important? Let's break it down with some science! 🔬

1️⃣ Digestive Health: Fiber keeps our digestive system running smoothly, preventing constipation and promoting regularity. It adds bulk to our stools, making it easier for waste to pass through our intestines.

2️⃣ Heart Health: High-fiber diets have been linked to lower cholesterol levels and a reduced risk of heart disease. Fiber helps to remove excess cholesterol from the body, keeping our hearts happy and healthy.

Hi everyone, hope that you are all well. ☺️
Really sorry to be writing this but atm we have had to take one week at a time. With chest infections not clearing from us and the concern about the omicon strain, we will have to put classes on hold until the new year. 😪

We will keep you updated as to start dates. In the meantime, please all stay well, stay safe and have the most magical of christmases with your loved ones. 🎄🥰

It was wonderful to step foot back into our Meditation Class last week after many months away. 🥰

The Covid - 19 pandemic has had a major effect on all of our lives. Many of us have faced challenges that have been stressful and overwhelming, which have caused strong emotions in us as adults and in our children.

Learning to cope with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and those around you more resilient. 🙌

A massive thankyou to all who attended and to those regulars who couldn't make it, you were missed.
Your continuing support makes it possible for this class to happen and for us to continue being of service to the community. 😊

Together we will continue to learn about the many positive effects that meditation practice can have on your health and wellbeing. 💪

It was also lovely to gather together at the end of class to enjoy some refreshments and to have chats. ☕
The class certainly has a special energy indeed. ✨💫☯️

Good Sleep is Vital To Good Health! Do you struggle when trying to sleep? Then please come to The Meditation Zone classes starting back on the 19th October. We'll show easy ways that sleep can be massively improved, not just through meditation but with the introduction of many other sleep hygiene practices.

Breathing techniques, exercise, lighting, bed comfort, sleep timing, the importance of sleep friendly foods (and when you eat them), the negative effects of caffeine and screen time and so much more are all part of the processes which ensure you get the sleep you need. Good sleeping habits help you become the best you can be every day 💜

I know the word meditation can seem intimidating to so many, but it’s much more simple than the ideas around it. For me, it’s about identifying as the observer/witness/awareness. Watching thoughts, feelings, and emotions come and go. Resting deeper into the awareness behind it all.

It takes practice like anything else. It’s okay if you get lost in thought. Just notice when you do, and find your way back to being the observer. It’s a practice that allows you to rest deeper into this place of awareness. The more you practice, the easier it becomes. The less attached you become to the ideas in your head.

Every meditation isn’t going to be a transcendental experience. You can’t expect to just meditate once and everything change. It’s a slow shift in perspective over time of who you really are. Beyond it all. And try your best to let go of expectations while you meditate. Don’t judge or expect anything and just watch what happens.
And eventually you get to this place where you know that none of your thoughts are you. You are the one who watches them.
