A Designated Centre of Excellence for Palliative Care

Ty Bryngwyn Hospice benefits from 100% of the generosity of donations received to “Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Apeal” and by the sterling work of a hard-working fundraising committee and vast public support The hospice is home to a day care centre, which offers physiotherapy, reflexology and other therapeutic activities to people suffering from illnesses ranging from cancer to Parkinson's two days a week. As well as the patients who are still able to live at home, the team of health care support workers, Macmillan nurses, social workers and physiotherapists also care for up to eight inpatients at the hospice at a time.

ASDA MURRAY STREET, LLANELLI - EASTER EGG DONATION

On 2 April 2026 Mr Lyndon Thomas, ASDA Community Colleague, delivered over 60 eggs to Ty Bryngwyn Hospice. These were distributed among staff and patients who were over the moon with this generous donation.

A huge thank you to Lyndon and to everyone who donated these eggs. This kindness has brought joy and many smiles to so many.

FIVE ROADS & DISTRICT WOMENS INSTITUTE - PRESENTATION

At the Diplomat Hotel Llanelli on 18 March 2026 WI Members Mrs Vicky Garfoot and Mrs Liz Riby-Evans presented a cheque for £750 to Mr David Craddock, Chairman and Trustee of Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Trust.

These monies were raised at the very successful Ffair Nadolig/ Christmas Fayre held at Five Roads Village Hall on Saturday 29 November 2025.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Mrs Anne Williams, President Five Roads WI, and to all the the hard-working and dedicated ladies for choosing Ty Bryngwyn Hospice as the beneficiary of this magnificent gift. Your continuing support is greatly appreciated.

DAFFODIL FAYRE - THURSDAY 19TH MARCH 2026

The annual Daffodil Fayre in aid of Ty Bryngwyn Hospice was held at the Selwyn Samuel Centre on 19 March 2026. Our grateful thanks go to:-

Paul Francis and staff of Anyone Waiting for their support - they could not do enough for us; Llanelli Ukulele Players for entertaining and spreading such joy and for their £50 donation.

For all the business and personal donations of raffle prizes; ASDA for donating a beautiful fluffy bunny which raised £25 from an auction Marks and Spencer for donating the biscuits, The stall selling creme eggs for the Lewis Fundraising Easter 2026 event and the knitters of the colourful chicks;

To Chairman Mr David Craddock and all the hardworking members of the Fundraising Committee for their hard work and dedication.

And most importantly to all those who came to the event along with our Civic Dignitaries.

Your support is so appreciated.
A total in the region of £1,500 was raised.

PRESENTATION IN MEMORY OF GERAINT JAMES - 12 MARCH 2026

Mrs Beverley James along with the Rev J Eldon Phillips and Julie of the New Drovers Public House Llanelli organised an auction in memory of her husband who sadly passed away in Prince Philip Hospital.

The care Mr James was given by the Intensive Care Unit Staff and the Palliative Care Nurses was outstanding along with Palliative Care Nurse Lucy King's first class care and support.

A total of £1,100 was raised which is a testament to the high regard and love in which Mr James was held.

ASDA MURRAY STREET LLANELLI - EASTER EGG COLLECTION.

This year's Easter Egg collection is for the benefit of Ty Bryngwyn Hospice. A trolley is set up in store ready for customers and colleagues to donate Easter Eggs and chocolates.

LLANELLI FLORAL ART SOCIETY - DONATION

On 4 March 2026 at Mrs Ann Llewelyn's home, the Chair of the Llanelli Floral Art Society presented a cheque for £300 to members of the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Fundraising Committee.

Our grateful thanks go to Chair Louise Furneaux (Chelsea Flower Show Winner) and the members of the Society for selecting Ty Bryngwyn Hospice as the beneficiary of this very generous gift which is so greatly appreciated.

SUE LADD & FRIENDS - PRESENTATION - 26 FEBRUARY 2026

Since 2005 Sue Ladd and Friends have raised over £300,000 for good causes.

On 26 February 2026 at Penybanc Rugby Football Club Ammanford, Sue Thomas and Mike Evans from Ty Bryngwyn Hospice Appeal Fund were presented with a cheque for £1,500.00.

A vote of thanks was given for this generous and greatly appreciated donation towards our Appeal.
It was an extremely pleasant and welcoming evening, which included an excellent buffet, where other beneficiaries received donations for their charities all raised by this wonderful group of hard working and dedicated ladies.

Thank you Sue Ladd and Friends. Wishing you every success with your future fundraising efforts.
