Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students and staff from Carmarthenshire Secondary Teaching and Learning Centre for our very first schools sauna session, as part of their “Dopamine Day” activities.
Dopamine Day focuses on encouraging young people to engage in healthy, rewarding experiences that naturally boost mood, motivation, and overall wellbeing. It was fantastic to see students step outside their usual routines and embrace something new, learning first-hand how simple practices can have a positive impact on both mental and physical health.
Our sauna sessions offer more than just relaxation. Exposure to heat in a controlled environment can help to reduce stress levels, support muscle recovery, improve circulation, and promote better sleep. Just as importantly, it provides a calm, screen-free space where young people can slow down, reset, and connect with their own wellbeing.
We were incredibly impressed by how engaged and open the students were throughout the session. Experiences like this can play an important role in building healthy habits early in life, supporting resilience, and encouraging positive lifestyle choices.
A huge thank you to the staff and students for choosing to spend part of their Dopamine Day with us, and for sharing your experience—we’re delighted to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
If your school, college, or organisation is looking to enhance a wellbeing day, our facilities are available to book for both students and staff. We can tailor sessions to suit different age groups and objectives, whether that’s relaxation, recovery, or education around wellbeing practices.
