Reminder - additional drop in event for Meddygfa’r Sarn patients in Carway

An additional public drop in session has been arranged for people to find out more and to share their views on the proposed changes to GP services at Meddygfa’r Sarn in Pontyates.

📍 Carway Hall, SA17 4HE

Anyone is welcome to drop in to speak with representatives from the health board.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a drop in so far or completed the survey. If you haven’t shared your views yet, there is still time.

You can complete the questionnaire posted to your home if you are a registered patient at Meddygfa’r Sarn or fill it in online via the Have Your Say website www.haveyoursay.hduhb.wales.nhs.uk.

People can also share their views by calling the health board’s Communications Hub on 0300 303 8322 (option 5), emailing ask.hdd@wales.nhs.uk, or contacting Llais via westwalesenquiries@llaiscymru.org or 01646 697610.

All feedback submitted by 6 April 2026 will be considered as part of the engagement process.

We really need to get as many signatures on our main petition as possible within the next week. Please sign if you haven't already (this is not the Senedd petition so please sign this too) and please share far and wide :)

This doesn't just affect us residents in Pontyates don't forget. It also will affect the residents of neighbouring villages who already struggle to get appointments at their local surgeries (Imagine how much harder it would be with an extra 1,000 patients added to your Surgery's books in one go!)

Hywel Dda is holding an extra engagement session at Carwe Hall on Tuesday 31st March (2.00pm–6.30pm) for patients at affected surgeries — and we need your help to spread the word!

📣 We’re looking for volunteers to deliver flyers and posters.
