Cold water swimming has many health benefits including a boost for your cardiovascular health, improved mood, reduction of stress and helps the immune system. Even a quick dunk, or just a paddle on the rivers edge can help reconnect you to yourself and the nature around you ❤️

At the beginning of December 2024 we experienced Storm Darragh, with 80mph winds that blew many of our trees over. This ancient Oak had been standing by the rivers edge for hundreds of years, but with the strong winds and the rising river, it became uprooted from the ground, resulting in it falling over the river. But the Oak still lives, and still grows, and has created a bridge for many different animals and birds. We’ve seen ducks, herons and cormorants perch on the fallen Oak for a rest. It’s now our metaphorical Oak, even though it came crashing down, it now still lives and holds purpose for us and the nature around ❤️
