Mae wedi bod yn fraint cael bod yn rhan o lawer o angladdau gwahanol yn y mis diwethaf. Dyna'r rhan gorau o'm swydd - cael parchu dymuniadau olaf yr ymadawedig, a chefnogi eu teuluoedd i drefnu ffarwel addas.
Weithiau, mae hyn yn cynnwys gwasanaeth fwy cywrain, fel yr un yn Yr Wyddgrug, ble ymgasglodd 150 i ganu, perfformio ac i glywed darlleniadau. Roedd yr Eisteddfod a cherddoriaeth yn ganolbwynt i fywyd Rhiannon, felly roedd y gwasanaeth yma yn addas i anrhydu ei bywyd. Cynlluniwyd hyn oll gan ei phlant.
Ar y llaw arall, weithiau mae angladdau wedi eu teilwra yn ddistaw ac yn breifat. Fel pan ddaru Vicky a Dean o amlosgfa Fae Colwyn wahodd y gŵr a oedd yn galaru i fod yn bresenol gyda’i wraig yn yr ystafell amlosgi am y tro olaf. Arwahan i’r sŵn cefndirol angenrheidiol, llwyddom i ddarganfod heddwch a distawrwydd mewn cyfnod mor bwysig. Diolch yn fawr i Vicky a Dean, am gynnig gymaint o gefnogaeth gydag gosgeiddrwydd mor deimladwy.
Yn ychwanegol, mis yma rwyf wedi cael y profiad o weld mab a oedd yn galaru, yn gofalu yn dyner am ei fam yn y dyddiau oedd yn arwain at ei hangladd yn y Goedwig ym Moduan. Eto, arwyddocaol a phersonol, ond distaw a phreifat iawn.

It has been an honour to be involved in some very bespoke funerals this last month. It's the best part of my job- honouring the wishes of the deceased and supporting the bereaved to tailor their farewell in the best way they see fit.
Sometimes that involves a more elaborate service like the one in Yr Wyddgrug, where 150 gathered to sing, perform and read, honouring Rhiannon and the life she lived, enriched by the Eisteddfod and music. It was all choreographed by the deceased's children.
But at other times a bespoke funeral is something very quiet and private like when Vicky and Dean from Colwyn Bay Crematorium invited the bereaved man to enter the cremator room to be present for that very final part of his wife's passing. It was so personal and aside from the necessary noise of the machinery, we found quiet and peace. Thank you so much Vicky and Dean, you offered so much support and with such grace.
I've also had the privilege this month to witness a bereaved son tenderly take care of his deceased mother at home on the days running up to her burial at The Eternal Forest Trust / Coedwig Boduan. Again, very bespoke, yet very small and very private.

Penwythnos hyfryd wedi'i dreulio yng ngwobrau ac arddangosfa Good Funeral. Er na wnes i ennill, nes i fwynhau cwmni pobl o'r un anian a dysgu am fusnesau newydd.

Lovely weekend spent at the Good Funeral awards and exhibition. Although I didn't win, I really enjoyed the company of like-minded folk and of learning about new businesses.

My Dead Friends by Marie Howe. On Nov 2nd Mexico celebrates the Day of the Dead. I think it's a lovely tradition, one that I wish we all adopted. I'm not talking about dressing up as skeletons- although they are rather beautiful. I'm talking about remembering our loved ones. Eating the food that they loved together and sharing stories to keep them alive in our hearts. Asking each other "what would _______ have said or done in that situation? Imagine how much lighter the burden of grief would feel if others came round to share in celebrating the life that was lived of the person who has gone.
Ar yr 2il o Dachwedd mae Mecsico yn dathlu diwrnod y meirw. Dwin meddwl ei fod yn draddodiad neis ddyliwn ni gyd ei fabwysiadu. Dwi'm yn sôn am wisgo fyny fel sgerbwd, er eu bod nhw'n edrych yn eithaf hyfryd. Dwi'n sôn am gofio annwyliaid. Bwyta y bwyd roedden nhw'n ei garu gyda'n gilydd a rhannu storïau i'w cadw nhw'n fyw yn ein calonnau. Gofyn wrth ein gilydd beth fuasai __________ wedi dweud neu gwneud yn y sefyllfa yna? Dychmygwch faint yn ysgafnach fuasai baich galar yn teimlo pe tasai eraill yn ymuno i rhannu mewn dathliad o fywyd annwyliaid sydd wedi ein gadael.

Tonight we will be lighting up our funeral home at 12 Trinity Square, Llandudno in Pink & Blue in recognition of Baby Loss Awareness Week, and in memory of little Hunter Vaun Houlston and his family and all the those we have helped over the years who have been in this most tragic of situations.

Cefais y fraint o fynychu Gwasanaeth Coffa hyfryd heddiw yn Amlosgfa Bae Colwyn, i gofio am y sawl a gollodd eu bywydau yn y flwyddyn ddiwethaf. Arweinwyd y goffadwriaeth gan ganu hyfryd Trystan Lewis, geiriau meddylgar Maria Rimmer a Quentin Bellamy a chawsom gacennau blasus gan Karen, gwraig Dean.
Mae'r amlenni bach llawn hadau yma ar gael i'w prynu o'r amlosgfa os oes gan unryw un ddiddordeb. Mae nhw'n ffordd hyfryd i gyfleu
'Byth yn angof', sydd yn cynnwys hadau blodau gwyllt a cherdyn bach ar gyfer neges er mwyn creu coffadwriaeth bach yn yr ardd.

Had the privilege to attend a beautiful memorial service today at Colwyn Bay Crematorium, remembering those who lost their lives in the last year. We were led in remembrance by the beautiful singing of Trystan Lewis with the thoughtful words of Maria Rimmer and Quentin Bellamy and we enjoyed lovely cakes cooked by Dean's wife, Karen.

The crematorium are offering these small seed envelopes for purchase if anyone is interested. They are a lovely "Forget You Not", containing some wildflower seeds and a message card for you to create a small remembrance in the garden.
