🎶 Introducing the Robert Allan Choir! 🎶

Today marked the very first gathering of our brand new Robert Allan Choir here at Robert Allan House.

Residents came together with smiles, songs, and plenty of laughter as we filled the home with beautiful melodies and shared memories. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone’s enthusiasm and joy through music. 🎵

We can’t wait to welcome new faces in the coming weeks. Whether you love to sing or simply enjoy listening, there’s a place for everyone in our choir! 💫

🌟🔦Residents Spotlight 🔦🌟

Our lovely resident Irene has a passion for card making and today she lead our Christmas card making club 📝

Irene had everyone working harder than elves in santas workshop creating Christmas masterpieces for our fast approaching Christmas Market🎄

Irene has her annual tradition of her own stall at our market so you can come along and get a one of kind card to give to your loved ones this festive time with each and every card was made with the care and love of Irene and her helpers 🫶

We hope to see you on the 29th of November but her is a sneak peek of the amazing cards to expect 👀

🌺 Remembrance Sunday🌺

Today, Andrew took part in the Remembrance Service in Lochore.😁
This day holds deep meaning for him, as he proudly served his country as a Lance Corporal.🎖️

His time in the forces took him to many parts of the world — with Canada holding a special place in his memories.🇨🇦
Andrew was proud to lay a wreath today in honour of those who gave their lives in service.🎖️

🎳 That’s How We Bowl 🎳

What a fantastic day we had when our residents from Robert Allan and Benore care home took a trip to Hollywood Bowl in Dunfermline today! The excitement started early as everyone chatted on the minibus about their bowling experiences (and who might be the day’s champion😉)

There were some amazing throws, a few lucky strikes, and even more gutter balls but most importantly, there were smiles all around. Everyone cheered each other on, celebrated every spare, and shared a cheeky KFC together afterward🥪☕

Special mention to Brenda whose first time going bowling and ended up winning and our other winner Eileen who took overall win🏆

We’re so proud to create these moments that bring joy, friendship, and laughter to our residents. Days like this remind us what community is all about 💕

🎄🎨✨ Crafting For Christmas ✨🎨🎄

Our residents had a wonderful time this week visiting Honey Pot Ceramics in South Queensferry. We took a lovely stroll along the sea front to get to Honey pot, where they got creative painting their very own Christmas themed ceramics🎅🦌

Our residents chose from a wonderful selection of Christmas themed ceramics including snowmen, reindeer, Christmas trees, baubles, and even festive mugs for those winter hot chocolates! Each person picked their favourite from Rudolph the reindeer to Santa salt shaker, everyone let their artistic side shine and got creative with paints, glitter, and plenty of imagination 🎨

We of course treated ourselves to a well deserved McDonalds after all our hard work! We can’t wait to see our final products in a week and gift them to our husbands, children, parents and siblings as the perfect homemade Christmas present 🎁

🎃 Moments of the Month – October 2025 at Robert Allan House 🎃

October has been a month full of fun, laughter, and a few spooky surprises! 👻

We started the month by saying a heartfelt farewell to our lovely Gillie, who is moving on to an exciting new chapter. We’ll all miss you, Gillie, and wish you the very best for the future 💐.

Our residents enjoyed some fantastic trips out on the minibus, visiting:
🎳 Hollywood Bowl
🏛️ Riverside Museum and the National Museum
🐮 The Highland cows at Balmule Valley Fishery
🎃 Local pumpkin patches
☕ And of course, plenty of lunches, coffees, and cakes along the way!

Inside Robert Allan House, it’s been all go with:
💃 Discos filled with singing and dancing
💆‍♀️ Relaxing spa sessions
💪 Exercise and Burns fitness classes
🎲 And our ever-popular games of bingo!

As Halloween approached, we got into the spooky spirit with:
🧙‍♀️ “Whack a Witch” and creepy crafts
🎃 A Halloween disco joined by our wonderful friends from St Kenneth’s Primary School – thank you for making it so special!

And of course, the highlight of the month… our Haunted Asylum Spooky Walk! 🕸️🕷️
There were plenty of screams, laughter, and unforgettable memories made.

What a month it’s been – full of friendship, fun, and community spirit. 💛
Here’s to an equally exciting November ahead! 🍂

🎃 Autumn Adventure at Ballmule Fishery! 🎃

Today we had a fantastic day out at Ballmule Fishery with our friends from Benore Care Home. We loved seeing the Highland cows, as well as all the ducks, peacocks, and chickens 🐮🦆🦚🐔

The whole place looked amazing with all the Halloween decorations and pumpkins — it really got us into the spooky spirit! 👻🎃🍂

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Ballmule Fishery, who went above and beyond for us as they always do. We really appreciate your kindness and hospitality! ❤️
