Activities included a golf-themed word search, creating an Australian farewell card, starting hearts for the Valentine’s board, and a relaxing nail pamper session for some of the ladies 🤗

Day 5 of a walk a day in February!

A windy one today, but definitely worth it when we arrived. We walked over to St Serf’s Church open drop-in, where we enjoyed a cuppa, some lovely cakes, and a good blether ☕🍰

Beth and I braved the rain for a short stroll along the street, Beth set herself a distance goal and absolutely smashed it 💪✨
We chatted the whole way and, despite the weather, she really enjoyed getting out and about. Proof that it really is the walk that matters, not the distance 💛

Day 3 of a walk a day in February

With the weather being horrible 🌧️, Pat and I had our walk indoors this morning 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️. Pat helped deliver snack plates to each level, enjoying a wee blether along the way 💬🙂. She fair enjoyed helping out ❤️ and thoroughly enjoyed her chocolate treat 🍫😋

With it being miserable outside, the afternoon turned into a cosy one indoors. Some residents enjoyed Dominoes, others got creative with Valentine’s colouring, while another group relaxed with cake, a cup of tea, and the Mary Poppins movie 🎬

Offering a choice of activities means everyone can do what they enjoy most, supporting independence, comfort, and wellbeing, and that’s what matters most to us 💜

Day 2 of Walk a Day in February

Despite the rain, Lily and I wrapped up and enjoyed a lovely walk, spending the time chatting about familiar places, old friends, and local shops from years gone by. We finished our outing with a stop at Baynes for a cream treat, enjoyed with a cup of tea back at the home ☔💜

The day began with a hand–eye coordination activity, followed by a much loved Burns Gym session. We then enjoyed some relaxing time listening to music before lunch 🎵💜
