New Year Message from John

Hi everybody

As we approach the end of the year, I extend my best wishes to everyone for a successful and prosperous 2026.

For many, bringing in the New Year is a time of reflection, particularly those who have endured the sad loss of a loved one this year. I, myself have attended several relative’s funerals this year, the older we get, the more funerals we attend is most certainly true in its meaning.

A decade after establishing John Gilfillan Funeral Directors, I remain profoundly respectful of the dignity and resilience consistently demonstrated by those we serve during times of personal loss. Thank you to everyone who, despite their own personal grief, has trusted us and treated our funeral homes with friendliness and respect.

I would like to express my appreciation to my team for their professionalism, dedication, and reliability. I also extend my gratitude to local clergy and celebrants, whose commitment to supporting our families is commendable.

I’m please to say that we have our festive memory tree in place in Lochgelly along with memory cards. Please, feel free to call in to write your own unique message to a loved one, or alternatively call the office or message and we will be more than happy to follow your instructions.

Take care everyone.

Kindest regards
John
