You will be aware that First Bus have changed the bus timetable and some buses now go along Beccles Road instead of High Bungay Road. I have been contacted by many local residents trying to find out where the buses will stop on the new route.

You will see below the siting of the new stops:
1. In both directions outside the vets
2. Towards Norwich, adjacent Town Farm Drive
3. Coming soon - towards Lowestoft, opposite Little Money Road (this last one won't go in until the traffic calming is done as a result of the new housing development, so everyone will have to walk down to the vets until then to catch the Lowestoft bound bus).

The Bus Stop flags should be installed tomorrow.
It is a shame that First Bus didn't give us this information in advance!

Labour just voted against our plan to cut public spending so we can scrap Stamp Duty.

The Conservatives are the only party with the plan and the backbone to deliver a stronger economy.

I know it’s an American thing but it’s great to see the youngsters out and about dressed up and having a great time. Hope their parents are braced for the sugar rush!

Very proud of our excellent fire service.

Very proud of our excellent fire service.

👏 We couldn't do the work we do without the support of organisations across Norfolk, many of which employ on-call firefighters.
🚒 They release them from duty at the drop of a hat to support their local communities and enable us to keep crews ready to respond across Norfolk.
🏖️ At our staff awards evening we recognised Parkdean Resorts, who support Norfolk by allowing three members of their staff at Heacham Beach to be on-call firefighters for Heacham and Hunstanton.
🏆 They were chosen as worthy winners, beating off competition from other supportive local employers such as Anglia Revenues Partnership, Lloyds Bank Asams Limited - we appreciate all of them.
🔥 Employing an on-call firefighter brings a range of skills to your own workplace, such as someone who can stay calm under pressure, is an excellent team player and has the ability to save lives.
♥️ Parkdean were unable to attend the awards evening, so we've posted a photo of some of our senior leaders with the dignitaries that celebrated all of the achievements of our staff on the night.

Lord Fuller did his best but this was the outcome:
SOLAR FARMS ON THE BEST FARMLAND

Last night Labour and the Liberal Democrats voted to block Conservative plans to protect quality farmland from being overrun by unpopular solar power projects, standing up for farmers and putting Britain’s food security first.

Food security is national security. That is why Conservative peers voted to amend the Planning and Infrastructure Bill to deliver vital protections for our best and most versatile farmland from unpopular and unsightly solar farms.

Labour and Liberal Democrat lords joined forces to oppose our Conservative amendment to protect our food security, showing Labour have the wrong priorities and will not stand up for our farming communities.

Labour voted against the Conservative plan to protect the best and most versatile farmland from being turned over to solar farms. 50 Labour peers and 6 Liberal Democrat peers voted against Lord Fuller’s (Conservative) amendment 43 to prohibit the use of expedited nationally significant infrastructure project rules where a solar farm is planned for development on the best quality farmland (Planning and Infrastructure Bill, 20 October 2025, Division 5, link).

Conservatives voted to protect the best and most versatile farmland from being turned over to solar farms. 27 Conservative peers and voted for Lord Fuller’s (Conservative) amendment 43 to prohibit the use of expedited nationally significant infrastructure project rules where a solar farm is planned for development on the best quality farmland (Planning and Infrastructure Bill, 20 October 2025, Division 5, link).

Today we finally agreed our Devolution Deal for Norfolk and Suffolk. That’s £37.4 Million every year for the next 30 years, of new money for economic development. Well done everyone, it’s been a long road but we made it.
