Mindful walking during our retreat last week.
🌿 Mindful Walking 🌿
When we walk without awareness, we miss so much of life.
When we walk with mindfulness, each step can reveal calm, clarity, and a sense of freedom.
Walking meditation is not about reaching somewhere. It is about arriving in each step.
👣 Feel the contact of the foot with the earth. Left foot, right foot. Step by step.
Notice the play of life around you- the sound of the wind, a bird calling, a passing car. Allow it all to be present without resistance.
Let the body soften. Shoulders relaxed. Hands at ease. Allow breathing to find its own rhythm.
Thoughts may arise- plans, memories, worries. Acknowledge them with kindness, then return gently to the next step.
There is no hurry. Nowhere else to be.
Just this step.
Just this moment.
Through mindful walking, we discover that peace is available here and now. The ground is always beneath us, supporting us with every step.
