Op. Dr. Ahmet UMAY (Ophtalmology Specialty &Surgery) ( B.Sc / M.B.B.S (London) & FRC./ Ophtalmology) F.Med.Sci.Queen Marry & Bristol UK. He was born on 11/20/1969 in Ankara. He completed his primary and secondary education at TED. Foundation Ankara College with good grades. He started medical school at Meditzinkski Universitet_ Plovdiv, Bulgaria, by receiving education in English. He worked as a General Practitioner for a while. Then, he graduated from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom, UK with a Master's degree (Ophtalmology Specialty). He completed his surgical training in Ophthalmology (Refractive & Vitroretinal) current literature at Bristol Faculty of Medicine (1996-2000). In (2000-2001), after graduation, he worked for a short period in the field of vitroretinal surgery at Morfields International Eye’s of Cilical Surgery Hospital. He worked with the best academicians and surgeons of the West such as Prof. Dr. Andrew David Dick & Prof. Dr. Rebecca Ford in many successful surgeries. In the field of Eye Diseases and Surgery, his special fields of study are Refractive Surgery, Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification), Glaucoma and Strabismus. He is a member of the European Cataract and Refractive Society, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He was a founding member of the United Kingdom Eyes of Surgery Association, Westminster District Federation in 2004. Within the scope of the “Protection of Eye Light” social project within the UK, many civil society associations, university rectors, many eye surgeons from all nationalities on a voluntary basis, with a social service concept free of charge for the elderly population, eye screenings, cataract surgeries, diabetic retinopathy control of patients with diabetes due to advanced age, especially follow-up and control of macular degeneration cases at advanced ages, retinal detachments, macular degeneration syndromes, etc., collective quality health standards in the fields, with the legal approval of the state and the faculty, were carried out with the team he established in six-month periods and the results obtained from these analyses, he mediated the return to light by performing surgeries on 275 British citizens, whose average age was over 65, with his teammates at Bristol and Queen Mary Faculty of Medicine.
