SUCCESS

It can be incredibly hard and terrifying to reach out and go for therapy, especially if this is not your 'norm'. By doing this, you are admitting to yourself that you need help, and as human being's we are very much used to being in control, at times though you need to let someone else take control and lead you into the right direction.

This particular client had never had any experience of therapy or difficulties with their mental health. So coming to therapy was out of the 'norm' for them.

They came to me as they were suffering with intrusive thoughts and having very vivid dreams. When we experience these things, it is our minds way of telling us that there is something underlying that needs addressing, something may have happened to trigger emotions that have been buried for so long, or the thought that this has been dealt with.

This client gave it their all to the therapy process and really took onboard everything that was discussed in the sessions.

This client now has a much clearer mind, has dealt with past issues and healed from them, and is able to now move forward in life in a more positive and productive way.

WEIGHT LOSS & MINDSET

So it's Monday, and typically this is the start of most of people's week. We view Monday as a fresh start, if we have had a heavy weekend eating or drinking, we view Monday as the clean slate, start eating healthy to try and makeup for all of the excess over the weekend.

This could be a regular conversation that you have with yourself every Monday, 'today is the day the diet starts'. But then you get to the end of the day, it has been particularly tough, as you are not in the best frame of mind, because you have over indulged at the weekend, so all of your good will and intentions go out of the window, and you eat your comfort food to make you feel better.

I have worked with many clients, that in the past they have constantly gone through a similar pattern if they are on a diet or trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, they end up giving up and feeling disappointed, fed up, and then they self sabotage.

This is all because when they decided to either start that diet or healthy lifestyle they didn't fully think through what they needed to have place in order for them to be able to sustain and maintain their healthy lifestyle.

A really great week for Simply Hypnotherapy and its clients.

I have signed two clients off this week, which means that they have made amazing progress and no longer need my help and support. They have learnt about themselves and have the tools that they need in order for them to continue to live the life they truly deserve.

I am working with a range of clients at the moment, my youngest client is age 11 and my oldest is in their 50's.

Subjects I have worked on this week are: weight loss, anxiety, self esteem, grief, overwhelm, lack of confidence, anger. I love the fact that my job is so very varied everyday and I get to meet amazing clients, that trust me to help them in their darkest times.

As always all client sessions are tailored and individual to them and we always are working towards progress and for them to achieve their therapy goals. It really does blow me away every time when my clients make progress, I am always proud of them and how far they have come on their journey.

6 YEARS IN BUSINESS

January is my month to celebrate my business birthday. During the last 6 years I have navigated many things. Helped 100's of clients and learnt so much about myself as a therapist and learnt so much about business.

I have made so many business friends which inspire me to do more and keep working on my business.

I have hosted my own networking event.

I am the co founder for The Boobie Brunch, which is a community to support women going through their breast cancer journey.

I have passed many CPD courses and starting training as a counselling and psychotherapist.

I have created downloadable guides to 'Weight loss and Mindset', 'Stop Smoking', and 'Inner child'

I have won 6 awards and received so many amazing reviews from my lovely clients.

I have worked on many subjects with clients and worked with ages 11 up to 75.

I am looking forward to see what the next 6 years!!!

OVER THINKING
The Difference Between Helpful Problem Solving And Harmful Overthinking.
Why did my boss say that?

How should I strike up a conversation?

What if I talked too much at the meeting yesterday?

These are examples of the types of questions that might bombard you when you're overthinking. And rather than reducing your uncertainty, overthinking can keep you stuck.

It’s easy to confuse overthinking with problem-solving and you might convince yourself that, over-analysing and worrying is somehow productive, but these actions cause you to dwell on the problem at hand, prevent you from developing a solution and wreaks havoc on your mood.

🔹Things that may help :

🔹 Notice when you are stuck in your head.
Overthinking can become such a habit that you don’t even recognise when you’re doing it. Start paying attention to the way you think so you can become aware of the problem.

🔹Keep the focus on problem-solving.
Dwelling on your problems isn’t helpful - but looking for solutions is. If it’s something you have some control over, consider how you can prevent the problem, or challenge yourself to identify potential solutions.

🔹 Challenge your thoughts.
Your mind generally veers towards the negative road. Acknowledge that your thoughts may be exaggeratedly negative or unhealthy.

🔹 Schedule time for reflection.
Ruminating on problems or decisions for long periods of time isn’t productive, but brief reflection can be helpful.

🔹 Practice mindfulness skills.
It’s impossible to mull over yesterday or worry about tomorrow when you’re living in the present. Mindfulness will help you become more aware of being in the here and now.

🔹 Do something else.
Change where you are focusing your attention.

When your client that has completed your 'SLIM VIA HYPNOSIS' programme get's in touch to let you know how they are doing is an amazing feeling.

This client has worked incredibly hard after many years of trying every fad diet you could imagine. Just by really understanding that all food is ok, it is about balance and creating a healthier lifestyle.

Taking time out for themselves to become more active is not only helping their waste line but also their own mental well being.

It is a journey one of which they have learnt loads so far and put into place all the things that they have learnt during their sessions with me.

CONFIDENCE

Did you know that you are born with complete confidence?

When we are born, we do not know any different. We have not had anyone or any circumstances to impact our confidence levels. We are completely confident when we are born and only have a fear of falling and loud noises.
Do you ever watch your children learn to crawl, walk, run, play etc? They are very determined and seem to have no fear.

It is only when we grow and experience different situations, circumstances and get influenced by our peers, compare ourselves to others, face failures, let downs and challenges.

We then learn to be less confident or to have less self belief.

Confidence and belief can shape us into to who we are and how our life will turn out. Our environment, experiences and our people that influence us.

When we believe in ourselves, we may have had an amazing supportive environment with great positive influencers, this in turn will have a positive impact on our confidence levels and our self belief.

The good thing about the things that we learn when we are growing up, is that we can also unlearn unhelpful behaviours ie: low self belief, lacking in confidence.

I am a therapist that wants you to grow and develop and become all the things that you were born with, complete confidence and complete self belief.

I have worked with many clients that have to come to me for help with weight loss and to create a healthier lifestyle.

I am not a nutritionist expert and what I offer is NOT A DIET.

✦I transform my clients to completely change their mindset on food.

✦Clients learn that food creates their mood, they learn that food is fuel for their body.

✦To have a better relationship with food, to understand that by eating in a more balanced and healthier way.

✦They are investing in themselves, they are investing in their mind and body to help them navigate any challenges they may face in the future.

✦They learn that movement does not have to be in a gym sweating, there are so many other options available.

Welcome to Simply Hypnotherapy

Hi I am Rachel, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a very hard working Mummy to my gorgeous daughter Darcy. Having children really makes you reflect on life and put things into perspective. I had a bit of a reflection moment when I reached one of my milestone birthdays. I had been working in financial services for nearly 20 years, I felt like I was just existing and not really seeing the world for what it really was. I wanted to do something which I would get self satisfaction from and I really wanted to help people overcome their own personal challenges. Life is tough and pressured and many other things. I want to be the person that you feel you can come to, to help you through life’s everyday challenges. This is when I decided to have a complete career change and go back to the study books and this is how Simply Hypnotherapy was born.

I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and I can help you overcome many concerns in a very comfortable, quiet and cosy environment. You can talk to me knowing that I will give you my full attention and we can work together to help you overcome whatever is troubling you.
