Yes your partner can massage you during pregnancy! It is fun, safe and creates a special bond.
You can either book a 1:1 massage workshop at home or join the next Couple Massage Workshops (Part 1) on the 9th May at FOLD Leyton (E10) or 10th May at .london in Stoke Newington (E8).

This workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn how to give relaxing massages to your and loved one.
I’ll cover:

Sometimes we indulge in a moment of complaining but what we need is space. We need to pause to breath and then act on what is happening (not react, which is why we need the cortisol to low down). A massage will most certainly sort out that situation, but it will give you space to reconnect with the body and breath, and leave that chatty mind aside for a moment (if it is very chatty we can start the session with a short sound bath instead of waiting til the end).

Opening the heart and chest can feel very vulnerable and intense, both during and after. But it also brings a boost of energy and creates more space in the front of the body to breathe.

When you practice it in yoga asanas like Dhanurasana or Bhujangasana it is equally powerful, but as a passive stretch you are able to go a little further, exploring places that your mind, out of fear, doesn’t always allow you to reach on your own.

I guide you through the breath, and I ask your permission to repeat the stretch twice, because often once is more than enough.

Keep opening your heart, even when it feels fearful.

Do you schedule regular time off for yourself? By the way it doesn’t have to be a massage, but it has to be something that allows you to reach the switch and makes you feel held for an hour. Maybe it is nature or maybe it is a book.
