ARE YOU GETTING 30 PLANTS A WEEK?
Don’t worry…it’s easier than it sounds 🙃
WHAT COUNTS AS A PLANT?
Fruit, vegetables, legumes (like beans, lentils and peas), whole grains, nuts, seeds and even herbs (dried or fresh) and spices all count.
(Tip: Colour matters - different colours indicate different plant phytonutrients, so aim for the rainbow 🌈)
EASY WAY TO EAT MORE PLANTS:
🥗 Sprinkle mixed seeds on salads, toast, yoghurt and porridge
🫘 Keep your cupboards stocked with beans
🍚 Swap white rice for brown rice and white pasta for brown pasta
🍫 Dark chocolate (over 70%) and popcorn both count as plants!
🥕 Make colourful traybakes using mixed vegetables, olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper
