How does bioenergy therapy differ from massage therapy?
At ODNOVA, we often receive this question — and the answer is simple: they work on different, but complementary levels.
Massage therapy focuses primarily on the physical body. It works with muscles, fascia, circulation, and tension patterns. Through hands-on techniques, massage helps release tightness, improve mobility, and promote relaxation.
Bioenergy therapy works on a more subtle level. Instead of focusing only on muscles and tissues, it supports the body’s natural energy system and nervous system regulation. The aim is to help restore balance, reduce energetic stagnation, and encourage the body’s self-regulating processes.
In short:
✔ Massage = physical tension and structural support
✔ Bioenergy therapy = energetic balance and nervous system calming
Both approaches are valuable on their own. When appropriate, they can also be combined to create a more holistic therapeutic experience.
At ODNOVA, treatments are always tailored to the individual — because true wellbeing involves both body and energy.
