Via - I wanted to share this which I find very important. Recently I had to delete one of my videos on TikTok because of the really crude irrespectful comments. ⁣
-⁣
I am someone who CHOOSES and is AWARE of being very sexual. I am very much in touch with my femininity and sensuality. I embrace, embody, celebrate & love it. I also inspire and teach other women to do so because I find it incredibly healing and important for our well being. It’s our birthright to embody our creative feminine. I strongly believe we do not need to shrink ourselves or hide our bodies to be respected and not sexualized. I think bodies are beautiful and sensual and should be celebrated. However, being sexual and sensual or wearing a bikini is not an invitation for being sexualized and disrespected.⁣
-⁣
Comments such as : ‘ I can’t take you seriously in a bikini, wear some clothes!’ ⁣
Or ‘ get off social media if you don’t want to be sexualized’ or ‘ credit card or debit?’ Etc etc ... I won’t repeat the real crudes but you get the picture. ⁣
-⁣
So, this is a gently reminder what it means to be sexual vs. sexualized. A reminder to respect one another no matter what they choose to wear. That words are really powerful and we all deserve respect, dignity and freedom to express ourselves without being judged and ignoring our humanity. ⁣

I’m also sharing at the end some old pictures of what the Indian masters used to wear to practice yoga. 🙏🏻 ⁣

How to Ardha Chandrasana 🧘‍♀️ 🌙
✨Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose) is a standing posture, that can feel quite challenging at times. It helps to develop physical and mental balance, grounding and mental concentration.
✨As this asana is quite complex, we can begin our journey into it by using a block to place our hand on. The leg muscles should be active, the upper hip externally rotated and the chest and shoulders open. Drishti is to the upper hand but if this feels too much, you can look forward.
▪️TRY THIS▪️
▪️Here are 3 different variations to try for Ardha Chandrasana. The first one is using a block, the second is for opening the hip more and the third is with the hands in Anjali mudra, a great balancing variation.
▪️Mula bandha can be practiced for stability and balance.
❗️If you are pregnant, have any injuries, past/recent surgery or any medical conditions, check with your GP first.

All love starts with self love ♥️ . A beautiful post by : The beautiful thing about going through a phase where you purge, clear and heal old relationship patterns that are not aligned is that you move into a place where you manifest more soul to soul connections. Let me be clear, this purge is not a one time occurrence but an ongoing conversation.

Relationships patterns will remain shallow when no one demands depth and substance from you. This is a manifestation of unspoken agreements to not being fully present and engaged in real connection.

What I have learned is how to bring the focus back to myself at the appropriate times while in a relationship, I can let the other person off the hook. They are there to mirror, amplify and contribute to my happiness but there is no pressure to be the one responsible for my happiness.

I’m so thankful that I can say to my loved ones....you are not responsible for my happiness(or my sadness), for feeling my feelings, for interpreting what I need, for transmuting my emotions, for doing my work or for completing me.

At this point, I’m not calling connections in because I feel anything is missing. I just enjoy having people to witness me and share my life with.

TIGHT HAMSTRINGS?!
One of the most common barrier I hear when I ask someone If they’d try yoga is “no way!!! My hamstrings are too tight”.
📣REAL TALK TIME :
You DONT need to have long or flexible hamstrings to practice yoga and if it is a goal of yours, yoga is a PRACTICE and JOURNEY something we do more than once.
We spend so much time sitting nowadays that is it any wonder our muscles feel tight and angry when we move them?
Do not fear !! Swipe across to see a stretching sequence I have put together for you and your hammies 💗

✨LOW LUNGE
✨HALF LIFT USING BLOCKS

🔸TOP TIPS 🔸
1️⃣Hold or pedal slowly don’t bounce
2️⃣To begin with keep a micro bend in knees before fully extending
3️⃣Listen to your body not your head
4️⃣Set yourself a time frame to track progress - it won’t happen instantly but it will happen with consistency
5️⃣Use your props - blocks, the wall, a chair, a scarf, even your yoga pants - get creative - you make the rules!! 6️⃣Keep it real - like I tell my yogis in class
Try not to get caught up in the end goal remember ~ ” 😉✨🙌🏼
Save this to come back to and share with a buddy, maybe you could track practice & progress together 🙌🏼✨💗

CONVERSATION STARTER—If you were asked what the Kleshas are or how they relate to a yoga practice, could you explain them?

You probably know about the Eight Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga and can probably explain the Yamas and the Niyamas. But a lot of the other concepts in the Sutras that are necessary to understanding the Eight Limbs and their application get lost in the mix. One of my favorite components of that text are the Kleshas, but they’re so often overlooked or passed by quickly.

But understanding the Kleshas is essential to understand the whole text and beyond. So here’s a (way too short!) overview:

The Kleshas are a set of concepts that help us understand the afflictions, which cause us suffering and block our path to the core of yoga.

The Kleshas include our ignorance/confusion, development and maintenance of the ego construct, our passionate attachment towards that which perpetuates ego, aversions to that which challenges ego, and our aversion to and fear of bodily death. Unless you’ve achieved moksha, the Kleshas constantly show up in our lives. In fact, once you know what to look for, you’ll see just how central they are to driving human behavior and keeping us stuck in the patterns of suffering.

Starting the new moon with some a little reminder to practice gratitude. Gratitude is the highest frequency we can tap and live in. It means we accept what has already happened. The longer we rest in gratitude the more we are magnets to a new destiny, because gratitude is the ultimate state of receivership. One of the gifts of our meditation and⁣
yoga practice is that is teaches us that we can always start again. over and over. we are not limited to our old habits, chiices and self. Every day and every breath we have a chance to choose. To start again. Just like the moon cycles. We can die and reborn over and over as many times as needed! ⁣

I’m grateful for this body. That I’m healthy and I can spend my energy producing the work I want. And of course that the sun came out and shined today! ⁣
