Maria Rigopoulou is a Nutrigenetics Osteoporosis Specialist, Functional Medicine Practitioner, Nutritional and Holistic Therapist and Coach and Yoga Teacher. She has a background in Telecoms and Technology. Your bones follow a 24-hour cycle—osteoclasts (breakdown) work at night, while osteoblasts (building) are active in the day. Poor sleep increases bone loss and reduces formation, raising your osteoporosis risk.

Cholesterol itself isn’t the problem.
The real issue is when LDL becomes oxidised.

Oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, poor recovery, and metabolic imbalance can damage LDL particles and make them inflammatory.

This is why looking at a single cholesterol number rarely tells the full story.
