We had some very special guests at our Time to Thrive Club recently… 🐾

Let’s just say there were a few extra wagging tails in the room - and they weren’t all human.

The smiles, energy and conversations that followed were a wonderful reminder of how connection and community can brighten everyone’s day.

A week ago, we were delighted to sponsor a wonderful evening at Keats Community Library, where Sir Michael Palin was presenting his latest book, My Travels to Venezuela.

A brilliant storyteller and a genuinely brave traveller, Sir Michael continues to take on extraordinary adventures. Remarkably, at 82 years old, he continues to push boundaries - even landed on Angel Falls (Salto Ángel) - the highest uninterrupted waterfall in Venezuela and the highest in the world.

Hampstead has always been a creative neighbourhood of artists, writers, and original thinkers, and it felt especially fitting to support an evening with a fellow Hampstead resident who embodies that spirit so completely.

If you missed it, we highly recommend getting the book or watching the documentary series on Channel 5.

We’re proud to help keep that tradition of curiosity, creativity, and storytelling alive.

We’re pleased to be taking part in Wellness Day at - Community Association of West Hampstead, where Walfinch Hampstead & Camden will be delivering a short, accessible talk on:

Staying Steady, Staying Mobile, Keeping the Blood Flowing

Falls prevention, movement, and circulation aren’t separate issues - they are three sides of the same triangle:
✔ Movement improves circulation
✔ Better circulation improves balance, strength, and reaction time
✔ Better balance and strength reduce the risk of falls

We will explore how staying mobile helps build balance, strength, and confidence. We’ll also share simple, practical ideas that can be easily built into everyday life, followed by a Q&A.

Walfinch Hampstead & Camden is a local home support provider, working across the community to help people live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Alongside individual home support, we run Time to Thrive, our community programme focused on wellbeing, connection, and keeping people active as we age.

As part of Time to Thrive, we also facilitate and sponsor free weekly seated mobility classes at CAWH every Monday from 11am, providing a safe, friendly space to move, build confidence, and stay connected.

🪑 The talks starts at 2 pm, with an optional practical session at 3 pm
There will be a short, relaxed opportunity for anyone who would like to try some of the exercises. All movements are suitable for seated or less mobile participants.

We’re starting the New Year with a BANG

We’re delighted to be sponsoring another brilliant evening at the beautiful Keats Community Library, with the mighty Sir Michael Palin talking about his latest book My Travels to Venezuela on 22 January at 7.30pm – an event that sold out in no time.
