Yoga and life ✨
After a while away from social media, I could be posting a yoga pose here, but after some thought, I chose not to.
The original purpose of this account was to be as real as possible, bringing yoga into our daily routine, and being far from the standardised yoga world with its leggings, perfect bodies and zen mind.
Instead, I chose to share a bit of my recent types of meditation, which has been translated into hikes and dirty boots. Because when my mind is full, nature recharges me.
And it may not be the same for everyone, but in these uncertain and yet festive times, it is important to include daily self-care moments, be it a couple of minutes on your own, a short walk, or perhaps just bringing your attention to your breath or posture, or pausing to notice how you feel about all of this.
And as I was reading a book by Dr. Camilla Pang, who beautifully wrote about chaos and the human need to control what's around us, I was reminded me of the below:
1- You don't need to visit family to feel festive;
2- You don't have to buy Christmas presents to show love;
3- You don't need to say yes to toxic people (even if they're family);
4- perfection only exists in social media and new shoes. You already are unique, and that's the beauty of it. Every single cell in your body already works in harmony to make you who YOU are.
5- yes, you can (and should) carry on with the habits and rituals that make YOU happy (even if that means cancelling family lunch or dinner!);
6- yes, it's okay for you to please your body with foods you would not normally eat without feeling guilty. Enjoy the moment (as long as you don't have any health issues!)
And if you do have any rituals or habits you'd like to share, please comment below! ❤️🙏✨
